    GREAT progress!

I was sort of disappointed to read about the front seatbacks being cut down. The headrests are there to prevent whiplash in the event of a rear-ender accident. I would have kept them.

Any thoughts to giving the Thing some 'attitude' with a body or suspension lift? For example:

No, she wants to keep it mostly stock looking. I wanted to keep it stock height but do all terrain tires but Morgan was set on white walls. If it was mine, I would of went with the off road look.

I bet she can't wait to drive it regularly. Pride of ownership goes up exponentially when you're the one who puts in the work.

We had it far enough along she took it to her first car show on March 6th. She is planning on taking it March 20th to an all VW show. Still have a few things to do but figured let her enjoy it a little after 5 1/2 months of work.

Looks fantastic! Pretty awesome that she got to take it to a car show. I'm sure she was incredibly proud (as she should be).

Morgan and I thank everyone for the kind comments. Lots of people talked to her at the car show about it and seemed to like it.

Morgan made it to her big VW show and got to meet a bunch of people that have been following her progress on the VW pages on Facebook. She was definitely in her element, even the old owner showed up to the show and told her how happy he was she did something with it.

What a great way to get young folks involved in the car hobby. Bet she felt proud talking about her thing.
