Sounds like you've had a few great wagons under your belt. How about starting your own thread with pictures so others can comment and welcome you to the forum.
New infomation on vin decoder I will try to ad some photos in a few days. I have not felt well the last few weeks they are going in next week to make sure my heart is working OK. I think all will be OK. I have been doing some checking and found more information about my wagon. It is a 1994 not a 1993. The only one made that year like it. The two dash clusters I got have problems. One has a gas gauge that dose not work and the other the temp gauge has the same problem. I'm back to no speed display now. I tried the display fix but still it still dose not work. I had one person tell me a 1994 Buick RMW display would work. All the photos of a Buick dash sure do not look even close. So I'm still looking for a good dash cluster for a 1994 caprice LT1 Wagon. I do have something new to pass on. For the pass few weeks I had been running down information about a VIN check site that closed sometime ago I was told. It was called www.compnine.com . I was told it had much information about vehicles listed by VIN's that you could run a search. Well as a X-Cop it hard for me to take no for an answer. I did a lot of digging and found the site was up as a test. I ran my VIN then it went down that afternoon. It looked like the site was going to be directed to dealers for a fee only. I was able to trace down the owner of the site and sent him a email. I pointed out that we on the forum's really needed the information on his site to keep out vehicles running and on the road. On the 20th of April I received a email from Jason and would like to pass on part of that email to the forum. I do not know if this the correct place on the forum to post this but if it is not please repost the information someplace where it can be of use to everyone. I have posted this information on other forums to pass the word of free VIN checks. This is at the good will of Jason toward to the hobby and to us as a whole. He needs our thanks. The web site is back up and running for all to use at www.compnine.com . Take a look at the use rules below. This is part of the email I received: Thank you for taking the time to write, and I'm sorry it took so long to get a reply. There has been quite a lot going on lately. The VIN decoder is certainly of the most daily use for businesses, but that's not to imply the casual user has been discounted or somehow set aside. Quite the contrary, unless you're doing a significant number of weekly searches the "demo" on the site is designed to be enough for most individuals. It's typically set to two free searches a day, and it resets at the end of a each day. Right now it's set to TEN free searches daily and will stay that way for a while. The goal is to allow regular vehicle owners the opportunity to run all of the vehicles they own, and some of the ones they may be considering purchasing, all for free. If you need to do some extensive searching, or your business relies on the information, accounts start at just $5 for 50 monthly searches with no daily limits. Respectfully posted, Tebb ( Terry )
