I'm hunting around the 'Net for some trim clips both for my Pontiac and my wagon. By sheer luck I finally found a picture of that oddball little clip that held my garnish trim on. Just updating this for reference purposes.

I am not a headliner installer but have put in several. A 1987 Chevy van, a 1980 Malibu 2-door, a 1950 Chevy truck, our 1955 Chevy wagon, a Model A, and a few others. Each is like learning all over again. Of all, the Chevy van was easiest and most fun. Just bought grey tightweave carpeting and put in one section at a time with wood strips across each section, like original.
What I did learn was the adhesive does not always adheive! The 3-M77 lasts about two to three weeks and if using Permatex the only stuff that works is the Permatex Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive. I believe in a blue can.
Any of it is like working with fibreglas or airplane glue. It sticks better on everything else than the headliner material.

Great job. Now do those visors.:tiphat:

Did you ever find where we can find those clips? I've got about 4 that are broken. I spread the broken spots out, so I don't need them so badly, but it sure would be nice to have a dozen spares or so.

I wound up selling that car not long after I bought my wagon as I had a few too many on hand. I never did find those clips, but I can't say as I put a huge amount of effort into it either.
