All new, with the exception of some of the drive train components. GM trucks are all-new for 2015 as well. The heavy-duty versions have not been released as of yet.
If I can't get a column shift and a 40/20/40 front seat, forget it! I've noticed FEW 09+ trucks have that. 07-08 may be what I search for when it's time to replace the wife's white 2000 Suburban with a black Yukon XL.
They should've used the Silverado nose on it: I like the way the new silverado's look, like a wall of chrome coming at ya'. Either way, they both look like if they hit any small cars, they'll spit out cans of Budweiser or something else that's very American. So uh, MURIKA!
I bet the pickup nose would bolt onto the SUV. People do that garbage with older GMT800 Escalades and pickups. The Silverado nose would look very boss on the Suburban. Where's my bench seat, though? How am I supposed to act on tacky comments and innuendo with my missus if she's three feet away across a giant plasticky console?
I agree with Tedy (not a big surprise) The Chivy is Fugly. The GMC (love the Got Mechanic Coming ) is better looking than the chivy, as usual, but not much better looking. The thing I don't understand is GM's recent obsession with combining both round/soft lines and edges with sharp/hard lines and edges. To me the whole thing looks like a big design contradiction.
