Jim, Evergreen makes the thin plastic strips and then I used as many pictures of real cars to get the locations. Then I used tape to lay out the location I also have a 68 Fury III convertible model that I used to get the locations. Then I glue the strips on. With a little practice it's not as hard as it looks. Getting the location is the hardest part. Hope this helps.

I'm going to try to add some texture for the headliner seeing how it is pretty big. I've seen where others have used a wet paper towel coated with Elmer's glue to create the shell and then paint it. Here is my wet towel with Elmer's glue setting up and the cut out after it dried. Also did a test fit to make sure everything still fits and to see how the wheels look in the body.

Well I did not like the color of the interior as it looked to dark for what I was trying to get so now it's a lighter blue with dark inserts I think it's closer to what it should be now. Also I now have color on the body. I added some black wash on the wheels too.

Started some BMF on the side trim molding and trim paint before clear coating.

Here's the 2 nd head liner and this is where I'm going with the rear grill and bumper. My chrome peeled when I masked off the back up lights. Will need to come up with a fix for that.

That is beautiful! Looks so near my '66 (even nearly the same color!). Can't wait to see the finished product.

Added some more detail on the engine glued the K frame in and added black to the center hub caps. I also glued in the head liner next will be to add the support bars on it.

Very nice! It's cool to see wagon models, and especially Mopar models. Lots of detail there. I like the idea for the headliner.

I've got several un-built models and a good-size parts bash box that I've had since the late '70s. Might just have to start building something now!

Was able to find some time to get the clear coat sprayed on and finished interior up with BMF trim. I have also been working on the chassis getting the exhaust set up. I'm going to use some tubing turn the tail pipes out to the corners.

Been working on polishing out the clear coat. I'm about half way done as it is going slow but it's coming out good. I'm really impressed with the scratch paint clear coat it sprayed nice and it polishes to a nice shine. Here some in side pictures but it's hard to see how it shines with out some sun light.

Well I decided that I would make a attempt at scratch building a roof rack for the wagon. I started with 3/16" I - beam for the main rails and will need to pick up some evergreen strips for the cross bars. I'm using pictures to determine all my dimensions so this is what it looks like so far.

Enjoying this build. Amazed that you are going as far as replicating the roof rack.
