The automakers offered a half-ton Camper Special for only about two years each - Dodge/Fargo had a D100 CS for '67 and '68 only - and I think Ford was the same. Not positive about what years GM had them, though.

Well I'm sure you got the family pricing;).

I also prefer the chrome dog dishes on the other truck compared to painted. Now if that were my truck I'd ad some beauty rings and a more aggressive tread with white letters like my old truck, and keep the rest stock. I really dig the smaller west coast mirrors also on yours.

    That I did.

I concur. I wasn't sure initially, but then I saw that photo you posted and it sealed it for me. I think I will start looking for a set.

Thanks again everyone. I went over there today to get the title from my Grandfather and have him sign the Bill of Sale. He's 92 years old, so most things take a while to transpire. I enjoy visiting with him and Grandma, so it's actually always a nice time.

I meant to snap a few photos of the interior before I left, but I had to round up my oldest son (he's five and a half) who was out digging in the dirt with his dog and in the process forgot about the pictures.

We're going back over there tomorrow, so I'll do my best to remember to take some photos then.

We went over to my folks place to watch the Super Bowl. Before the game started I went out and snapped a few pics of the truck.

Very nice original interior. It's a little dirty from not being used, but will clean up nicely.

    It has A/C!

My Grandfather was the chief of the volunteer fire department for many, many years. All of his rigs have the "Benton County" Fire Dept. sticker on the bumper. (They Fury has one too) That will stay.

(kind of hard to see, but the sticker is there)

I also took a picture of the wheels. I plan to powder coat them their original color and then buy chrome FORD dog dish hub caps.
