Hey I prefer Chevy and even I get sick of seeing everything from rat rods to hot rods with a dang 350. C’mon ya’ll! That carb with fuel injection is gonna be awesome!!!
Wow. That does look like me. But no. No he hasn't. At least, not in regards to committing automotive blasphemy.
Well if the 16 year old was about to possess your body, who knows what craven thoughts you might have gotten.
Fear not, The ORIGINAL engine is staying. It's just getting a little love, a little performance and a whole lot of reliability/dependability.
I am REALLY interested to see how the FiTech works out for you. How are you going to feed it? Inline electric pump or using their Commander?
So am I. I have been thinking about this for a long time. I've done research and talked with a lot of people. The consensus is that if you aren't looking to make crazy power, want to keep everything else on the motor alone and want affordability, the FITech system is the way to go. I was recently the recipient of a small monetary gift with the instructions that it was not to be used for "paying bills" so, I figured this would be the perfect use for that. I'll be using an Inline electric pump. I ended up getting the companion kit (the white box) that comes with the pump, hoses, etc, etc.
Just make sure you keep the filter changes up, those inline pumps don't have the advantage of bathing in the gas inside the tank to keep cool, which can cause open-air inline pumps to burn out. Don't kid yourself that the heat sink will alleviate overheating because of a plugged filter.
