That's a direct bolt-in, isn't it? That will make for some very fast driving. I'd recommend an 8-point roll cage, racing seats and 5-point harnesses....
Nice. Is that an aftermarket trans or is it out of a Cobra? I'm curious how it fits for you. I'm planning the same for my wagon once I'm done with all the suspension, steering, and brake upgrades. What bellhousing is on it?
I guess I'm more curious about the actual manufacturer of the bellhousing. Aluminum SBF bellhousings for the T56 are relatively rare. The common aftermarket solution is a Quick Time welded steel bellhousing that costs $700-$800.
Yes. It is the rare Ford aftermarket T56 transmission. These transmissions were never sold in a car. The other option is Quicktime bellhousing to adapt a Cobra T56 to the windsor engine. The clutch fork position will differ slightly between the two transmissions.
I have seen that Bowler Transmissions offers an aluminum bellhousing if you buy the Magnum through them. I don't know why there aren't more options for a bellhousing for a SBF for this thing. I think I am going to go with a hydraulic clutch setup on mine. I already have the 87/88 Turbo Coupe clutch and brake pedals.
