I don’t have any of that. It’s stock Ford stuff. Could I just rig up a voltmeter to see whatthe iac is doing?

If it's stock, you should have a DLC. There's a thread, I'll see if I can find it, that shows the Ford setup for OBD-I; otherwise, any setup 1995 or newer is OBD-II, and will have the standard 16-pin DLC.

The car runs pretty well. Cold start sounds like it has a cam. When I first fire it revs up to about 1500-1600 for a few seconds. Then when it comes back down it is choppy like it might die and once in a while it does. Once the car is warmed up though it idles like a champ. I am driving it a lot again. I got it back together the friday evening before the Super Bowl. I drive it to work and back that saturday. Work is 32 miles away from home. Then another road trip to Villanova to visit my daughter. Then I drove it all day sunday. All day monday. To work again tuesday. Wednesday rest (snow and rain). And I drive it to work today!

    Right on.
Glad to hear you are using it and enjoying it.
So, even with all of that driving still having the start-up and idle issues?

Yeah. Not sure if I really have an issue. I guess it should idle out better when it’s cold but other than that it is driving pretty well.

It'll have to 'learn' the idle. Takes about 50 key cycles. But, after that, if it continues to have a problem, Ford has a fix, a plate with bleeder screws installed, that allow fine-tuning of the idle air flow to give it a better chance of properly controlling it. Also, what's your injector flow rate, and the fuel pump's max output?

I am running 24lb ‘ers. There is a Walbro 255 in the tank. The meter is matched to the injectors.

As long as that video is promptly followed by a video of it doing a long smokey burnout.

I am a little apprehensive about the burnout. I tried to spin the tires leaving a light yesterday and I have irs wheel hop. I am afraid of damaging my diff. I have to practice holding a burnout with the brakes and walking it out. It’s a stick shift car and I am not much of a drag racer.
