I guess this would be the best place here to put this. Here is the link for my Optima on craigslist. http://joplin.craigslist.org/cto/2530790120.html Let your friends, family (in-laws), strangers all know about this car. I need to sell it as soon as possible. Thanks, Xavier
Well, I have lowered the price on it to $4000. I just got emailed by some one asking if the price was negotiable and if I could send them more pics... so maybe, just maybe they aren't a scammer this time... We will see. Fingers crossed, because there is a wagon that I have my eyes on. I also had to repost my ad so here is the new link for it: http://joplin.craigslist.org/cto/2562614334.html
IMO, you should remove this line from the ad.... Quote.. All recalls have been taken care of at an official Kia dealership. Volentearing to much info still IMO. The term "recal" puts a mindset of fear in buyers, even for myself when I was looking for bigger $ cars. Recals to the average buyer means "these cars have problems". Recall for the most part = WHY?, nobody cares if it was because the floor mats didn't match the factory carpet, just the word RECALL scares people.
Oh, dam. Good point. Thanks. I'm going to fix that right now... I have probably scared off enough already...
You could change that line to "Serviced regularly at Kia dealership". Sounds like that would be a truthful statement with a positive spin.
Except that only a few things were done at the dealership and the rest were done by either myself or the family car doctor, Randy Curry of Curry's Auto Repair. Receipts and all...
I think you could still say it in the ad without being untruthful taking the car to the dealership for recalls is "service" and if there were a number of recalls that could be "regular service", just not "all service". Since your providing all receipts your not hiding anything from the buyer. Your just composing the ad in such a way that people will call or view the car.

Well. I feel good. I just did my first solo oil change. On the KIA, of course. All for under $20. It looked like it had the original oil filter on it. The damn drain plug was at an angle and it dowsed my arm in hot oil. What took the most time was trying to get the oil filter off. It was in a stupid place and extremely hard to get to. But everything went fine. I tell ya, I love being able to do it myself.
I hear ya! I did my first oil change this summer and felt like there was nothing I wasn't ready to tackle. ...I was wrong, but I still felt great and looked forward to doing our other cars. What an empowering feeling.
I know what you mean. Every time I do anything or fix something on this car I get more excited about taking care of my own wagon some day. Definitely a confidence boost and a freeing experience.
Every little thing I do to my car makes it work and run that much better. Just threw a brand new battery in it and boy can I tell a major difference. My headlights no longer dim when I turn on the rear defrost. A little early christmas present to ourselves and the Kia. To compare it now to the car it was when I bought it, you just would think they weren't the same car. The only thing it really needs now, aside from recharging the AC, is O2 sensors. No experience with those but the parts should cost about $50 - $60 all and all. If we still have the car after the new year then some time in January or February I get the parts and put them in... My greatest thanks to all who have helped me with this car. we truly can't thank you enough. -X & -Z
