Dagnabbit Brian, I just keep spending money!!! He took my lowball offer. Well, sort of lowball. Should have really went lowball. Oh well, the one that was on the car was completely faded. Thanks!! I think. ;)

Okay I'm a sucker for punishment what did you get it for? I think I paid $150 for mine but had to have it, mine looks crap as well. I'm sure they guy that restored my car looked everywhere for one but they are hard to find. I was tempted to buy it but thought that the new one I have will last forever. Too bad that it wasn't as cheap as that roof rack!!

LOL, nope, not nearly as cheap!

I offered and he accepted $85. But keep in mind, yours was in Canadian money. ;)

Mine is completely faded out. I had seen that on Ebay a while ago, but I don't recall a "make an offer" being listed.

Thanks again Brian!! You are the only thing keeping me solvent. :)

Hello! Bet you thought you would never hear from me. Me too.

But after 9 years the car is home from the quick paint job it went in for. :whew:

Here are a couple picks. Need to get some pics out in the sun. The shade doesn't do the paint justice.

No it's not original color. Didn't want it. Car is not being restored to original, but as a restomod. Love the color, 1977 Ford Dark Jade Green.

Lots to do. After 9 years the worst thing is the power steering hose or pump is leaking.

At least I get to start posting here again. Missed you guys.

Well, how about that. Welcome back winged one.
The wagon looks great, even in the shade.

That Dark Jade Green is a favorite Ford color of mine. I had a '77 Granada Ghia 2-door once, in that color. Check your P/S return hose connection at the pump, if it has the original factory crimp clamp, it's the likely leak source. Leadslead's '66 Breezeway was leaking at that very connection, and because the nipple has a 90° bend, pushing the hose further into the nipple cured the leak.

Got the power steering line replaced (fluid shooting right out of the middle of soft hose). Today wife and I got the front bumper on (new/rechromed). Remembering how it went together was tricky at first, but then I found it in the 67 Ford shop manual, and I took some pics 9 years ago when before I took it off. Have to find the turn signals in my boxes in the basement. Got some other minor stuff done. Need to get some more bumper bolts for the rear bumper (rechrome I bought off a guy on Ebay long ago).
Things been on hold until I could get it in to get the hose replaced. Now things will move more quickly. :) IMG_7558.JPG

Hi. The front bumper I purchased from the Bumper Boyz 9 years ago. It sat wrapped up in the garage, and still looked as good when we unwrapped it, as it did when I bought it (excellent). We didn't have a good core, so I couldn't have my original re-chromed. Bumper Boyz happened to be at a car show in Coldwater (IIRC) 9 years ago, we called and made sure they had one on the truck. They didn't at the time have a very stellar reputation, but our choices were very limited. So far, so good.

The rear bumper I bought off a guy on Ebay who had had it re-chromed for his own car, but I forget what happened. It had the steps like my own did. It was a beautiful accident I fell into. I still have the receipt and paid $375 plus $75 shipping. A deal in my opinion. That one sat in the basement and when we brought it up after 9 years and unwrapped it, my wife had such a huge smile, we had forgotten how good it looked.

Magnum 500’s are quite possibly the greatest factory wheel ever installed on a Ford. The car looks amazing!
