    Drg Racr,

If you're a Police officer and you're not adverse to getting back into sales, you might want to take a look at doing home security sales. I help run a small ADT shop in FL, and I can tell you that it would be a snap for you to get BASA and FASA (required certification) and you have a background that makes you instantly credible. It isn't easy work, but it is work, and it's recession proof work. The worse things get the more a lot of people need to protect what they have.

You're still in the business of helping people if you do it the right way, and it can be pretty rewarding financially if you really get into it and learn what it takes.

You can PM me for info and I would be happy to lend you my knowledge of the field. I do all the sales training for my lil company so I have a perspective that may be helpful. I actually use a lot of the training I got in the 'Corps from when they had me recruiting for a bit. That was my first real sales job and every other sales job I have ever taken since has been cake by comparison. I loved being a Marine but hated what being a great Marine Recruiter required in terms of sacrifice for my family. I can honestly say I preferred combat. - "Real world" (meaning civilian) sales is so easy it's a joke by comparison.

    Anyhow just a thought,

    Lex
