    Oh....sorry....:)

Yes, it's too much damage in this overcrowded
little country with road capacity from the 1930's...:(

This saturday I will take the complete
belt from the car. I will make some additional pics.

By the way....it has nothing to do with the seatbelt,
the "keep your lane" method of driving on highways
is perfect! Here in NL you are supposed to drive
on the most right lane of the higway. After overtaking
another car you go back to the right lane.
Overtaking is only allowed on the left of the slower car.
This way of driving causes a lot of stress on the road.
When driving in Florida last december it was very relaxed.
I really like that keep your lane principe!

    Anyway.....

    Welcome aboard, Marc.
Beautiful addition to the Dutch roads :yahoo:

A very recognizable street for people who are importing cars, I immediately knew where your photo was taken:

You indeed might get lucky with 'Rooie Ben' junkyard for your seat belts. Maybe you could try the 'lighter' trick for the damaged seat belt.

Thanks Rob, it is getting more beautiful
up here in a short time. First I want to
take care of all the things that must be
done before I go to 'RDW' ( that's where
foreign cars go to to get licenseplates).
After that, the inspection in order to be
allowed to drive on the road will be done at
my work. I work at a truck dealer so that's
    easy for me.

I was lucky at 'Rooie Ben' when I needed
a beltlock for my '77 Caprice a few years
ago so I think I will be again.

You have a nice row of cars by the way!

Stange, typing English with a Dutchman :).

Never herd of Pacheco, CA where your wagon was from. Looked it up and found it was right down the highway from my sister in Vallejo. ( East Bay San Francisco / Oakland area)

very nice people in that area!:)

    And it never rains....

Google Maps shows a very big house
with a pool and lots of palm trees at the address shown
    on the title. Wauw....

Thanks a lot for that! Great! Hopefully you'll find
a tan one. Please check it carefully, the belt should not
have any damages what so ever.

Some pics after removing the old one. Very hard work....

    Found one!

    The donor car:

The belt, almost the same, a little dirty but no damages.
I will make it fit by changing the bracket from the new belt.

    Thanks Silverfox for your time!

Hello Coen, yes maybe Muiden or SNC.
The Ford won't be on the road before
the beginning of 2011. It's only 24 years
old now so it's is expensive to drive.

(To other members: this car will cost around
$150,- "roadtax" per month. After the car
reaches the age of 25 it will cost you nothing
    anymore....:thumbs2:).

I'd like to see your car as well !

Here in Canada, we pay our roadtax in the gasoline price, about 32% and a provincial fuel tax of 18% of every litre, which, right now is about $1 (USD$ or CND$) per liter. For the average employee, that's about the same as yours. Except that we also pay Provincial and Federal Sales taxes on the total. another 13%.:banghead3:

Thanks for letting me know, Marc. I went to a junk yard the other day near Madison and struck out there. I thought of your problem again last night when I was talking to a friend about our favorite junk yard in a small town near by. We decided to go there today just because we hadn't been there for awhile. It's a nice old yard and I loved going there in my younger days. Many very old and unique cars. Glad you found one. Pretty strange that you found a seat belt for a Ford in Holland before I found one here in the USA. And now that you found one I will probably see a few today.:DI've been looking for an electric fan set-up for my wagon for a long time now and I haven't scored on that either. Anyway...glad you found a good belt.

    Hey Marc,

Good to see that you followed my advice about this forum [IMG]!

I came by the truck garage the other day, but for some reason they were closed (Q-day in Kattik?)
I'm driving an orange DAF truck, and still I had to work that day...[IMG]

Will try to visit you (and the wagon) on a Saturday in the near future [IMG]
