I have 2 1952 Chevy 4 doors, sitting with a 1980 Ford Cargo van in a 44 foot RV storage space at a nearby storage yard. 2 spaces down from those I have my 72 Chrysler Town and Country Parts car,and the 75 Pontiac Wagon that this thread is all about.

At home I have a sandrail, My Dart,my 65 Fury Wagon,My 72 Fury Wagon,My wifes 71 Olds Cutlass Supreme, her 2005 Dodge Caravan, and in the alleyway behind the house sits my 73 Dodge Truck.

    Over at my moms house I have a 1986 Chrysler Lebaron,and my 97 Ford F250 4x4. Lets see am I forgetting anything....Nope.

Oh and the reactions of everyone at cruise night? Noone there are really into wagons,so I am the oddman out. Its all about TRI-5 Chevys,40 ford coupes,Mustangs and Chevelles, with that crowd. Noone really flocked to the wagon but a few people did show some love to the car.

Congrats chrriff on the wagon! Looks like a nice solid start.

The knob might be for the stereo, fade control?

Yep I have a bunch of cars...

The 86 Lebaron isnt a Woody Wagon(I wish it were) its just a Non Turbo 2.2 liter 2 door sedan which I picked up for $50 because it needed a timing belt(Non interference engine)

Oh and as far as the Chrome Badge on the grille.I dont know what it is.It has some etching in it but its so old I cant read what it says.I know alot of cars in Europe have badges in the grille like that.Maybe the car was in Germany at one time,The guy I got it from came from a Military family

Heres some more pics I took this morning.

So what is this thing? It has some small diameter lines going into it. The same lines that come off the underdash thing. I dont know if its cruise control cause Cruise control is a seperate item.

I wonder if it's an "economy guage", basically a vacuum guage.

Does it have factory cruise control? I think it would be in the directional stalk. If not, maybe that's what the delco thing is. Maybe it's dealer installed cruise.

Did it have a trailer hitch? Looks like it could be part of a trailer brake control system.

BTW, I have the 1975 Service Manual as a .pdf document that I can hook you up with.

Awwww maaann....that is a NICE wagon. At first...it looked to me like it had a volume needle thingy above the knob and I thought it may have been for a CB. But whoever said a trailer control may be right. i don't really know what that is. I would call the ex owner and ask. Before it drives me nuts!

Looks like a rear air ride control when you haul heavy loads or trailer tow, dealer installed option?

I'm glad you got the wagon... The 350 and 400 are really close except for the bore and stroke. All the heads intakes and such interchange. U need a Edelbrock intake let me know, real cheap + shipping. So when does the party begin?

Well the weather just turned to SH*T for us here while I was doing some investigational stuff on the car. I discovered this car is a 2 seat Wagon with a production of 1393 units in the year 1975(according to the A Body Pontiac site) How many are actually left in existance?...Hmmm probably not many, making this car,to me at least a Very Very rare example. I had been under the impression this was a 3 seater like every other wagon Ive picked up.

I went ahead and lubed all the door and hood hinges, and took the air cleaner off and gave the 2 Jet Carb a good bath with 2 cans Carb Cleaner. For this cars age,the top of the engine exterior wise is surprisingly clean.

I pulled the spare tire cover off and stowed neatly inside were a flat tire(with good tread maybe needing a repair), and the entire jack tire/iron assembly. I was glad and surprised to find the assembly stowed away so nicely.

So far thats where I stand on this car.I purchased the conversion battery terminals,as this car has a side post battery from the factory, but I dont have any side post batteries laying around,so this will have to do.I prefer top post batteries anyway because they are easier to grip when jump starting.

Hopefully the weather will clear up and ill be able to proceed on getting this old girl fired up .Shouldnt take much. What I normally do is bypass the fuel line that comes from the tank into the pump with a line that goes into a 1 gallon "Pony" can. That way if the fuel line to the tank,or the sender is plugged,I can mess with that later. This gives me more instant fuel delivery and helps rule out if the pump needs replacing.

I have a clear squirt bottle I keep fuel in,Ill give the carb a shot of gas,Floor the pedal and crank it over.If it makes an effort to start, ill be all smiles!! Ive already checked the oil and its to the upper end of the full line,so thats a plus.

Ill keep everyone posted on the progress. Im much happier with this wagons interior than the previous 2 1972 Mopars I recovered. They both sat in fields and had active packrat nests inside. They stink to high heaven!!! The Engine on this Poncho wagon shows signs of weather cracked vacuum lines, but I dont see signs of chewed wires(Yet)

Wait, chrriff!! Don't do TOO much to that wagon. I don't want to have to pay you for your labor when I come to get for $300!
