    I got it!!!

Yes folks the wagon is home.It wasnt easy,as a tire I was using to put on the car had a rear bead pop and so it was useless. I dragged that ol girl out from where she rested for so long.

It was a labor intensive job getting her up on the dolly and getting everything positioned correctly. I even dragged her to my Friday night cruise-in at the local deli, still attached to the back of my truck,on the dolly.I got some wierd looks,as if I was crazy. I love wagons, and if it was a Pacer I couldnt be more proud.

So this makes 4 wagons in my stable. I own a fully optioned out 65 Plymouth Fury III Wagon,a 1972 Plymouth Fury Custom Suburban Wagon,a 1972 Chrysler T&C Wagon parts car,and now this 1975 Pontiac. Im a hard core Mopar lover as I own a 72 Dodge Dart and a 73 Dodge D200 Camper Special truck, but I love the uniqueness of Wagons...any Wagon. The ones I own are MILF magnets, all the ladies my age always have a story about sitting in the "Way Back seat" while on vacations.I took it to the DMV for the Bond inspection and a lady remembered me from when I did the inspection on my 72 Fury. She said "Another one? What are you gonna do with these things?"

I told her if my wife finds out I may have to have an intervention!!! :biglaugh:

This Pontiac has some wierd stuff im trying to figure out.Its got an RTS(RADIAL TUNED SUSPENSION) tag on the dash. It also has a device under the dash with a big knob that reads "DELCO" Whatever it is,its factory GM.

The interior is a mess,at least the seats are. No more cloth. Its all gone . All thats left is the foam. The carpet is so/so as is the headliner. Glass is good. Body is really straight, has a ding on the passenger fender. NO RUST,Does have the surface rust on the hood from the carpet laying there for years, and the paint is thin all over from the Arizona sun.

Overall a complete and solid car. Oh the best part. When I was all loaded and ready to leave. I kinda put him on the spot. As I pulled out the cash,I said "What did we agree on? $200?" He said "Yeah." I handed him the cash, shook his hand we exchanged a few kind words and down the road I went.

Look what followed me home.... can we keep it???.... Pleeeease??? :D

Radial Tuned Suspension (RTS) included the radial-ply tires, Pliacell shock absorbers and thicker sway bars. Thicker swaybars with good shocks let them use softer springs so it would float down the road like a luxury car but still have nice solid cornering.
No idea what the big knob under the dash is.

Congrats, chrriff. You got yourself a sweet deal on a very rare wagon.

LOL.....yeah, maybe so, Ian. I do like that little wagon but it's the story that is so great. He saved a cool wagon after talking to the guy forever and now we find that he towed it with a UHaul rented dolly and sneaked it into his backyard with his other wagons and his wife still doesn't know. I love these old car save stories.

If that handle pulls out like an old choke, it is a fresh air venting system. Kinda like what the old pickups had in the kick panels, which I wish even modern cars still had. It opens a gate in the heating system to allow fresh air to blow in through the vents and ducts. My 76 Malibu had one if I remember correctly. That has been nearly 16 years and 30+ cars ago though.

If it said Delco on it, it could be the factory stereo amp. I think my 75 Chevelle had one with the "Premium Sound system". Don't quote that as gospel truth though, I've had a lot of cars and its hard to keep them straight.
Good scrore, though. Have you found out what motor it has? The 400 is a rockin' motor. I have a buddy that can give you tips to get lots of HP out of it for cheap!!

Congratulations! You have to be so psyched. I think it already looks ten times better on the dolly than it did in the parking spot it held for the last God knows how many years. It looks like you've got a good solid base with which to start. What's that round thing on the front grille? It doesn't look factory; do you know what I'm talking about? That color is one of my favorites from GM back then. My mom had a gorgeous '70 Skylark 2 dr in that color with a metallic brown painted roof. It was a sharp looker for sure. Can't wait to see the pics of the resoration process. Quite a find and quite a price when you figure how rare it is. Enjoy!!
By the way, what was the reaction of everybody at cruise night? That's so cool you brought it down there on the dolly to show them all your new "baby".

By the way, where do you keep all your cars? You must have an awfully long driveway.
