Okay, because some ask or it, here is the list of our cars. We have too many, almost all of them project cars. If you have nothing to do, hop over the ocean and lend a helping hand. Ina: 1930 Franklin 147 (project car, solid and nice interior) 1949 Buick super sedanette (project car, solid and complete, bought it in Indiana in 2006, travelling the midwest on my own) 1956 Desoto Firedome (I have driven this one but now the exhaust manifold is broken and the transmission needs an overhaul, bought in Oklahoma) 1969 Volvo Amazon (my daily driver until I got another wagon) 1972 Buick Riviera (project car, two ones, one with a good front and interior and one with a good rear) The blue one a rear and trunk in good condition: 1977 Mercedes 350SL (good car, bought in Germany, now for sale to get money for a new mercury cp): http://link.marktplaats.nl/457022585 1986 mercury grand marquis colony park (bought from a forum member, wrecked, I am sorry, didn't do it on purpose) Maarten: 1952 Ford Range Wagon (project car, solid, with a 1954 front, bought in Las Vegas during our vacation in 2008) 1952 Ford pickup (project car, Maarten has already started with this one, bought in Illinois, with AZ papers) 1965 Ford Mustang (project car) 1966 Ford Mustang (project car) I have no pictures of these, they are in a 1000 pieces but all parts are there. 1979 Ford Mustang (Maarten's daily driver) 1979 AMC Pacer (project or parts car, rusty, for sale) 1980 AMC Pacer (project or parts car, rusty, for sale) 1979 Fiat Bertone x1/9 (partly restored: repaired and primered, for sale) 1995 Ford Thunderbird (parts car, Maarten wants to make one of his classics a classic car with modern tech) First we will repair the Desoto, this one can drive again without too much effort. Then we will continue restoring the franklin, this car is rarest and most valuable when ready (no, we are not selling it). After the franklin it is the Ford Pickup's turn. But I think that will be a few years from now on. We are not a company, it is our hobby. And as soon as I found another mercury cp, we will make that one ready asap. During working hours we have jobs so we can only work on the cars during evenings and weekends. Maarten is a metal worker and I am an accountant. Maarten is the technician and metalworker, I do the sanding, cleaning, painting, I take the cars apart (yep, I have seen many rusty bolts) etc. I have aways loved classic cars, but they were always European until I met Maarten, My former cars: 1965 Volvo Amazone (my first one), 1964 Volvo P1800, 1960 MG A, 1985 Lincoln Mark VII, 1965 Volvo Duett (P210), 1979 Ford E250 van (used for vacation in southwestern USA). So the mercury cp was the youngest driveable car. We also have an old 60s Renault tractor: We still use it.
wow...just, wow. I am duly impressed, Ina. You have some nice stuff there for sure. I'm jealous! I'm not only jealous of the cars but also, it seems, you have a great place to store them and work on them. I like a lot of them but I want the one you aren't selling. I LOVE that one! Maybe I'll find you a cherry CP and deliver it! I'd want to bring my wagon too, but, that would be cost prohibitive.
I got many phone calls and emails about the mercedes. Three people want to come and have a look! So please cross fingers... Then I have got the money to buy a mercury and have it shipped to the Netherlands.
I would love to have that 350SL myself! Good luck on the sale, Ina. I don't think you will have much of a problem selling that car.
Ina & Maarten's junk Thanks for taking the time to post what you have in your hobby collection. Glad you have a nice place to store and work on them. Most of us do not have the room or we'd most likely have way more than we need. Good luck on restoring as many as you can.
Nice collection, I am actually in the process of trying to find a 1951 or 1952 Ford Pickup for a friend. Her mother wants to buy one for her husband. It was his first truck and was recently diagnosed with cancer and she wants to get him one to enjoy for a while. Just funny to see one in your collection!
That is an amazing collection and an even more impressive to do list...and I was worried about mine... Good Luck with yours!
We sold the mercedes SL! And we bought a 1964 Ford Ranchero... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...20731401611&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123 Will be Maarten's daily workers car. He needs a car he can put all his stuff in. He will sell the black 1979 mustang as soon as the ranchero is roadworthy.
