That looks like a LOT of fun. We love to camp. I'd love to find a vintage camper and do that with my wagon. Thanks for sharing!

OK, someone has to say it. It was HORRIBLE!!!!! There we were, 55 vintage trailers, many vintage tow vehicles, decent overall camping weather, :slap:and my camera sitting forgotten in the trailer:slap:. I was too busy shmoozing and snoozing and reading and kicking back. A couple of visits with REV, we were camped beside CS54, also a couple who tow with a '65 Suburban, and another couple who often tow with a 33 Plymouth 5 window coupe hot rod and only CS and the Burb were there in our little gathering with their vintage tow vehicles (TV's). Life is soooo tough some times. Now working our way to an event at Roslyn, WA where the TV show Northern Exposure was filmed, for a vintage trailer gathering. There will be some different trailers, vintage tow vehicles, and more neat people to visit with.

There's another one the following weekend in OR, we were there last year and met up with KK and his bride, but can't make that event this year. So a dry spell for two weeks, then some more vintage trailer events in the PNW to think about attending.

At present I'm sadly not using the wagon as we have for years but CS54 used his '35 Ford Fordor to tow his trailer this past weekend but often uses his '54 wagon. I hope to be back using the wagon soon.

I gotta tell you, REV's parts car is overall pretty decent. I did like last years car even though it needs a frame and if it were me I'd be thrashing on it. What a beauty. But the parts wagon, now known as Ol Blue, was quite the show when he towed in with his vintage Silver Streak tucked in behind. He's a hoot to camp with so get your selves out and find a vintage trailer and clean it up, hook it up, and come camping. If you want to relive the old days this is one of the best that we've found.

Your wagon looks like the one Barney Fife drove in that Andy Griffith Show episode, Is it the same model though perhaps not the same year? The episode was about some con artists if I remember right and he drove it with the trailer attached in quite a rush.

Edit: Looks like he drove a Ford in that episode:

61 Country Sedan I think........same wagon was also used in another episode where some shady characters were trying to make off with the contents from the state historical museum trailer and I think they almost got away until Warren shot one of the wheels off the front with the old Civil War cannon. Andy Griffith was known to favor Ford cars and frequently drove wagons apparently. (y)

Wagons residing on the hoist for a bit, then a truck, then the Chevelle, then the wagon - going to be a busy summer/fall it seems.

Roslyn? It was horrible. First year (3 years ago) there was something along the lines of 30 or so trailers. Last year they hit close to 60. This year best guess is 100 or darned close. Lots and lots of young families, kids out playing and riding bikes and people from around the area coming in, including up from OR and ID and eastern WA, and the wet side (Seattle, etc) came up for the day to view the rigs and talk vintage trailers, tow vehicles, and many folks planning on restoring trailers they've found since last years event.

A few pics taken early on so not showing the whole event.

Well, I tried to upload pics but it wouldn't let me. Drat.

Not poking at SWF but I also have found it very :banghead3:......... uploading pics from my home PC. It used to be a no problem when I joined but for some reason it became...... your cookies are not oat meal, it needs to be 2% milk not homogenized, security is coming for you and size had nothing to do with it,,,,,,,awe heck forget it and I signed up for Phototoilet, now I just copy and paste with no problems.

Kinda a bummer, I used to load a lot of pics in the gallery......

    I have mentioned this ;)
