I have pics from the street side when the kids come up next i get them to show me how to upload them. Flames out the roof video.
How sad. As for insurance, I believe the home where the fire started would be responsible for the second home, if they have sufficient coverage. Some homeowners have very basic coverage. For some reason I too have problems lighting a fire. I try and try and then just as I'm ready to go to bed, exhausted after all the trying, the darned fire lights and all of the wood starts so I get to sit there for a couple of hours waiting for it to be out before I can go to bed feeling safe.
What I cannot get over is how the fire spread like that from one detached house to another! I've seen some pretty major fires in terraces and semi-detached homes that did less damage to the house they were attached to! That is simply NUTS! And some of those fires have been in houses well over 100 years old, too.
