why would you think its a tow truck? i believe he's a carpenter, or a plumber. one of the two. but he has to use his personal truck.

Why not? It's a truck. I towed an RV with my 1975 Ford 1/2 ton for years. I've been towing a flat bed trailer with an occasional car on it or our 22' RV with my 2004 Dodge 1/2 ton since new. It's a truck!!!!!

I towed a 30+' 5th wheel for years with a 3/4ton Ford. Made seven round trips from Illinois to Florida with a 1/2ton Chevy van pulling a flatbed loaded with a car each trip plus tools, etc. A good radiator, tranny cooler, and electric brakes and they will pull forever.

Remember, 1/2 ton trucks and station wagons pulled RV's for years, in mountains and deserts.
My 1955 Chevy handyman was a plumber's work vehicle for years in it's original life.

well, here in Pittsburgh scrapping is a big business. it is not uncommon here for a regular pickup to have a wheel lift fitted to it to drag old cars to the shredder.
