    RUST!

No joke, I know where a pair of 27 Model Ts are setting under a one wall shed, and have been for 50 years, WITH LESS RUST.

One of the many lessons I have learned from this board is always check a car for rust, especially if it is from up north. I still have a very hard time grasping the rust you guys show on what I consider late model cars.

You will find your car Xavier, but if i were you I would be looking south.

Rodney, you are so right. X will be better off looking south and west for the wagon of his dreams. I'm from central Illinois and they use a lot of salt, plus that other blue salt substitute, by the tons in winters. As soon as the word Chicago was mentioned I began to have doubts. Still, you never know. :naughty: Please don't tell me those 1927 T's are for sale cheap. Or where!:naughty::drink::drink::drink::cheers:

I generally do look south and local, but lately, it seems, most of the wagons have been northern. I would like to have a wagon lined up for when we sell the kia or at least to be watching some so that we aren't without a car for too long of a time. Although, walking is much easier as long as it stay cooler. Even still, I'm disabled and walking is not high on my things I enjoy list, and my wife doesn't want to have to walk to work. I don't blame her. But anyways, back to square one... Thanks again.

In square one this thread mentioned something about heaven. As the song goes "heaven's just a sin away," do something sinful and your wagon shall come in square two.:yahoo:

X, keep looking. You'll find the right car.
I agree with the comments regarding southern or western cars. I don't think I'll ever buy another old car from anyplace where melting agents are used...

    Some possibilities:

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/2558323573.html (Cheap, but non-op CA Title and needs work...)

This one looks/sounds interesting. Need a lot more info and pics, but could be a winner:

There are MANY more listed on CL right now, but I ignored everything from IL, OH, MI, WI, NJ, NY, NH and PA.

Be patient and don't leap before you look!

Oh no keys, how disappointing. :(

Ross glad you were feeling up for the inspection. It was decent of you to do this for X & Z.
Thanks for helping them out :thumbs2:

Thanks, fannie. I'm still trying to fight this off. That's the way it is lately for me...maybe the flu shot saves me....I seem to get symptoms but shake it off in a few days. I have to be careful that it doesn't set in on me. Seem a little better today.

No. Last year. I will likely be getting one in October. I never used to believe in them but I also used to get sick almost every year once or twice and I don't anymore. I see my primary doc again on Wednesday.

Some folks get sick after the flu shot. Just thought you might have had one recently. I never used to get the shot ever. However, I did the year before last and this is the first time I got sick since. I work alot with the public and handle cash(dirty stuff). So I'll probably get it again this year. Do you have to pay for it where you are? Ours is paid for by the province.

No biggie. Xavier had to be saved from this heap, a Kia is enough punishment for one man to bear.
If this group can't find him one then it's not meant to be.
Health is fine, just a tough recovery.
    Best to all

That is what my problem is. :yup: And I've this kia, it was a year last June 18th. If I had only known:disagree:. We could have actually gotten a 60s model Cadi Hearse in mint condition for only $2000. :slap: :slap: :slap:

    I can't thank you enough.

I have made yet another change to my ad for the kia, but I think you will all agree that it is a good one.
