It might not be a bad idea just for the ease of adjustably. Say you have all your inlaws and a trailer you would have no problems keeping it all level or just u and the wife with trailer the same.Just remember when you are not using the trailer you have to keep a certain amount of air in the air bags so not to ruin them.

Would airbags be better with air-shocks or regular hydraulic shocks?

There wouldn't be much more than 5 to 6" of piston travel, but most shocks don't allow for that kind of movement (12" total).

If you are thinking about air shocks they are great for what you want to do but same thing need to keep a little air in them too. I had a set on a El Camino it was great until it was unloaded the rear bounced worse than a pinball. Now air bags can be use one of 2 ways with or without shocks.

I can tell you from Experience from Driving a 18 Wheeler Air ride will give you a great ride, better handling, and load capability. From what I have read I might go in this direction, it is a little pricey but seems worth it. Check out this link.

actually...if your going to 'replace' the coil springs..with 'bags'..
then....you have to find some really skookum sway bars!!
...if you expect it to handle worth a darn;)

AND more importantly!!...each bag MUST have its own designated 'filler'..
or valve however you do it....NO "T" fittings...otherwise you get "bagswap"..(the air swaps from bag to bag as it leans):naughty:

Kind of like 4 of my neighbourly old babas (ukrainian grannies) when they get together? One always rules the chatter. :)

Yeah, I was looking at one setup using a small battery-run compressor for all four, but a real engine-powered compressor could be setup and then correct the adjustments without interference. Thanks.

You gotta love the Babas, if you look a bit chunky or in good shape, they adopt you like a son. Loyal to the death! Fiesty and yappy, and they complain about anything that isn't Ukrainian or grind about each other.

We do huge annual multicultural event here every year. The Ukrainian community has two of the 45 events. No other nationality does that. If your Vladimir misses home, he should come here for a visit. They even paint their homes the traditional light blue and white, like 'back home'. Lots of shops here with all their signs in Ukrainian, Perogies (filled potatoe dumpling), Holopchi (Cabbage rolls), and their pastry shops. yummie.

Anyway here's a list of the cultural pavilions from this past August:
