All the years post '91 when I was running the Ford store, I always wanted to contact one of those limo converters and see what it would take to make a Crown Vic wagon. I figured I'd have a corner on the nationwide market for anybody that wanted one. I even designed where I'd put the wood! Alas, one of life's little regrets I never pursued it. Now, I'm afraid it's too late.

Bruce, I guess Wisconsin's weather might have held him back from cozy evening together.

I think I slept in almost every car I ever owned up to the age of 21. That's at least 12 cars. Except the Mini Minor. Sort of setting the stage for my foxy days.:biglaugh:

    Norm...
    Your going to love this...
One of my triplets (G-Body boy, we now call him), was working on his Hurst/Olds, scraping/reducing rust (from the underside) and fell asleep on the creeper. A policeman was driving by and saw someone under the jacked-up Olds, as the garage door was open. He called for backup and they snuck up on him. They yelled and went bolt upright, into the rear end!!!
Six stiches later, we all joke that the G-bodys have made a real impression on him. The patrolman still stops by when he sees him tinkering with cars late at nite and they laugh and talk cars later into the nite. There have been times when 2 or 3 patrol cars are in the driveway and they are all doing the war story thing and ... enjoying themselves.
When we do a road trip, the standing joke(with my family) is that we stay in 'Hotel Durango'. I'm just too cheap and independant to get a room for 4 hours!!!
    Later,
    Bruce

Priceless! :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: I can relate to the police coming by and checking out why I was under my dad's car. They were gonna roust me, until my dad popped out from under it too. :rofl2:

That reminds me of a story. My mom is the oldest of 13 and her brothers were all hell raisers back in the day. Well, my uncle Steve had a 68 Road runner 383 4 speed. He was in Erie, PA and lost the fork that shifted between 1st and 2nd. He walked 2 blocks to a bar to use the phone and there was another Road Runner in the parkinglot. So he ran back to his and grabbed his toobox. He had the tranny unbolted and was just fighting with the pistol grip handle to come through the boot when he felt a kick in his foot. He swallowed and snuck out from under the car to face a cop. The cop asked him if this was his car and what he was doing, well he thought real quick and said yeah, it is and I have to pull the tranny out as it broke the shifting fork. Cop asked him his name and he told him Steve Kopta. Cop said wait here, came back and said I see you are the owner of a blue 68 Plymouth and Steve smiled and said yup, see, I told ya. Cop said yeah, I see that this is infact a blue 68 Plymouth, but its not yours, I just put a ticket on yours 2 blocks back, coz you are parked by a fire hydrant!

Steve spent a couple nights in jail and paid some good fines and had to pay to have a garage put the tranny back in the RR he was trying to steal.

LOL....I know, I know,...I'm working on what to do with the snort factor right now...LOL:D Don't know what I'm going to do with that sound system. I'll have you get it up and running I suppose and see if I like it. I might like it and I might not. It wouldn't be a BAD thing to have great sound for my 50's, 60's music...
