Welcome aboard. Great intro. Good luck narrowing down your chaoice for aa American wagon. Theres lots of choices. Since you don't currently have your heart set on a particular make model or year, I suggest looking at all of them, and keeping your options open. Eventually you'll find one or two that you'll fall in love with and its so much easier that way with lots of wagons to choose from, than starting your search looking for a specific year make and model like I did.
Thanks Jim. Sure that way it is a lot easier. However, I have some sort of a wagon list already. It sure ain´t complete yet, but some night drop out again. My heart somehow beats for Mopars, but I like some of the Ford Motor Corp. also. Then again I have a friend who is a mechanic specialized on V8 engines and he says that GM engines a far better built than the rest. You see, that doesn´t exactly make my search easier . Facts so far are: The latest possible car will be a 1978 Ford LTD Country Squire. Anything newer is not my thing. Power Steering, power brakes, Auto Trans and AC are a must. Bright red is an absolute "no way" colour. Black paintwork is only acceptable with red interiors. Roofrack would be nice. I like original cars, with as much factory options as possible best. Due to the price and less comfort items, I don´t think 50´s wagons will be a real choice. I prefer four to two doors. Regarding the price I will have a limit, but this really depends on the cars condition more than anything else if the "must" points and "no ways" are met.
