Have you thought about a two tone ?
Silver and blue with a red pin stripe separating them !!!!

Fannie-I'll actually be installing trim off of a '62 Chevy C10 fleetside truck. It will take some fabrication, to split the bed trim to fit on the back door and quarter panel. Here's a picture of the trim taped to the side of my car. I've considered doing wood grain between the upper and lower split, or I might do a cream colored insert.

    FANTM58,

I did consider two tone. The picture of this truck was actually my inspiration for the light blue paint. Wagon roofs are just so long that I think it might be too much white.

Deep, luscious, metal flake Burgundy with lots of clear coat. Yum, Yum.

I like light blue as well.. it look great with your Wagon. but I don't know if light blue go with red interior.

I personally think red interior matches good with darker colors, like metallic dark blue or cherry.. you know something dark with metallic pearls in it, or white, light/dark silver.

I love the way that trim looks down the side of your wagon. Great idea. If you go with light blue, cream colored insert will look good, IMO

It sounds like you're liking the light blue. Just wanted to provide one more viewpoint. If you ever decide to sell the car, keep in mind that it will most likely be harder to sell with that color combo. Just some food for thought...

This has crossed my mind. I've had the car for 15 years now and not sure I could ever part with it...

Yeah, I do like that light blue a lot. Especially with the trim you're planning, and the cream highlights. A satin light blue might look killer. Just not so sure about coupling that with the red interior...

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I like the idea of adding the side trim, something different. Voted dark blue myself. Not sure what color I would use on the trim insert.
Either way, I'm sure it will look great.

I plan on going with the original color scheme red on red, white headliner with mine.
