    Hey guys,

So there's something that's bugging me with my ol' ride. A while ago my cats had clogged, I took care of the prob and it now runs great. But, the engine now bucks a good bit underload. I think either the exauhst valves were burned a lil since that cat incident.. or the something's up with the fuel delivery system..

    Any suggestions?

The 'bucking' might have been why the cats melted down in the first place. It could be running way too lean, or have a really bad random misfire. Start with the basics: check all the vacuum lines, PCV valve, upper plenum/throttle body cleanliness. This will require pulling the upper plenum off, as there are large lines underneath for PCV, MAP and EVAP. I posted on another thread in this forum on pulling EEC IV OBD I codes, I'll see if I can find the link. You need to run both KOEO and KOER tests; the KOEO gives stored codes as well as a solenoid/sensor base test. The engine has to be at operating temp and everything but the ignition shut off.
