Well Krash, you find it, but it's definitely not a serie 5 (nor a 3, nor a 7).
Fox, it's still time to find the right model ! :yippee:

OK Krash, no news from Fox, you won. But... this is not the car you think it is! :biglaugh:

This car is based on the BMW 2.8 or 3.0 sold in the US as the Bavaria. This model was sold from 1968 to 1977

The serie 5 was sold from 1972 to 81 (in his first version).

They look similar in picture, but the 2.8/3.0/Bavaria is more or less of the size of the serie 7. Look at the front indicator lamps, they are in the front wings on the Bavaria and in the bumper on the 5

A Bavaria wagon. Very cool. So, who did do the coach building and how many were made? I would love to see a photo of a "complete" tail end. I'm curious how the tailgate, tail lights and Bavaria body lines all come together at the very back.

How about this one. I think you can read the model name, so all I'll ask for is the make. And for a chance to double your winnings, also identify the more well known car from a different country, that this one is based on.

I can't read that model name...don't know if it would help anyway since it looks like a newer foreign car. I'm not good at the new stuff from across the pond. I'm even having trouble discerning what country it's from. I like the looks of it from this angle though.

Well I know you said "across the pond", but if you're thinking Subaru, then you're also thinking of the wrong pond.

I guess you're looking for a little more help. The name of the make has four letters in it. Two of the letters appear in your guess of "Subaru", and one of those two letters is in the same position on this make as it appears in the name "Subaru". Now keep in mind that this make is European, not Asian. And one more thing, the country where this make is produced is Not Germany (but I'm not saying anything about the more well known car that the wagon is based on as it would make it too easy to figure out this wagon's lineage).
