Yes Fox, it's a factory car, not modified in anyway. And it's 4WD of course.

yeah...yeah....you guys from across the pond are familiar with cars some of us never heard of.:D I have to say, though, that this car, IMO, has many features that are copied from an American car. It looks foreign but copied from American to me.

You're right Fox, a copy of an American car. Supplied in Wagon, pick-up, panel van and 4x4 in a time where America was the dream of many European people.
KK, your wrong, it's from Western Europe, from a major Factory.

Not a 203. The 203 is (largely) smaller but the US inspiration is the same. The 203 was never supplied in 4x4 (but 404 and 504 did) and the wagon was not fitted with rear suicide doors as the bitch wagon you'r looking for.

The "bitch wagon" was supplied for 2 years, around 1000 ex were made. It's rare but it's far to be unique. The concept in that time and in Europe was quite unique, making it maybe the first European SUV.

Never compare a US car with a European one. Different concepts IMHO
My neighbour has a '73 Mercedes 350 SL (sport coupe) and compared to my '73 Riv (sport coupe) it has a few advantages (like injection system and a slightly better suspention) but when it comes to luxury the Buick beats that german car by miles (AC/CC power everything etcetc). The lack of space for driver and other occupants in the Mercedes is another big dis-advantage.
I quited comparing a long time ago and made my choice for the better one :yahoo:.

Definitely has me stumped. The 2 wheel drive passenger version with the suicide rear doors looks alot like a classic Austin London taxi. But of course the front is different and all the photos show it as left hand drive.
