Wonder if the 4 cyl. '63 Tempest wagon has the rear transaxle like the non-wagon siblings? I imagine so.

I don't remember, W88. We had a discussion about that one time here and I THINK it does have the transaxle.

I can't find any information indicating that the wagon drivetrain was any different than the other body styles...

Did find one interesting factoid - while the Buick Skylark and Olds F-85's came equipped with 13" wheels, the Tempest had 15" wheels.....

Also found something that I hasn't known before...
    - You could get a Tempest with a 326 V8 starting in '62, but you could also order a 4-barrel version of the slant 4 engine (half of a 389 V8). It also came with a high-compression cylinder head (maybe out of a 421). Good for 160hp, vs 110 for the stock 4.

IIRC the VC has tailgate and quarter rust (low, not high) and the spare tire well is pretty sad. But I could be recalling a '72 from Missouri I saw on eBay.

Right now my list consists of that VC, a dark green '69 Chevelle, and a blue '72 Ford Country Sedan. I just don't think I can get my wife to bump up from the $700 OCC and similar $900-$1300 cars she OK'd (that were sold or had woodgrain and that was the ONLY problem with them) to the $2300 needed to buy this VC which has been on CL since at least May and was more like $3200 then and up to $4000 in the weeks leading up to me finding it at $3200.

And of course I like that Ford, it would be a great companion to my white on blue Gran Torino sedan. Just not sure it has the back seats or working AC. Same for the Chevelle, no mention of the third row, they say it has AC, doesn't say it works. VC has both of those things, extra seating and working AC.

Hey Guys, (oh, and Fannie too, sorry about that), I've been texting back and forth with this guy on this wagon. Does anybody live near Greenville Texas, (outside of Dallas/Fort Worth) and might be willing to check it out for me. I have no business even thinking about buying it, but hey, you only go through life once, right?

I posted this separately in general discussions just to make sure everybody sees it.
