The Dorman flexplate doesn't come with the ring gear installed: https://www.dormanproducts.com/cgi-...1&item=04363&icrid=&clt=hwrap1&vsrch_str=C3DZ 6375-B&vsrch_brand=ALL&vsrch_cat=ALL&st_amount=&end_amount=&start=&vfrom=&prev=&vnext=&category_list=:0:0 If that link doesn't work: https://www.dormanproducts.com/cgi-...-id=TEMP5082295hwrap1&vtime=77302&vtime=77302
The rockauto listing pictures one with the gear part #04836.... Oops I just realized it was for a C3...
Saw this on one site:C4 - 200 ENG - FLXPLT ONLY - RING GEAR AVAILABLE - ONLY w/TORQUE COVRTR I think that perhaps the ring gear isn't available separately might be because it's also spot welded to the torque converter.
Good Ford PN listing flywheels with ring gear: http://www.shopwiki.com/search.jsp?q=Ford+Automatic+Flywheel+81-83&p=1&sort=R
That King-O-Matic catalogue had the model FM-111 torque converter on the bottom of page 36 for our engine.
KingOMatic isn't answering. ACE says it should be a 9 tooth, and only the Bronco got the larger bendix.
So I'll check on Monday or Tuesday, and ask how long it takes to get them in, and who retails them. 3 year guarantee gives them a leg up.
This guy knows his Ford Flexplate stuff. Mostly V8, but good detail and pics. http://www.rowand.net/Shop/Tech/FordFlywheeslAndFlexplates.htm He's one serious and diverse car nut: http://www.rowand.net/Shop/index.htm
These guys can make them up. Look at the list. Some ring gears are 'no longer available'. Ours is OK, for now... http://www.wilcap.com/webdoc4.htm
Andy this is good stuff with part numbers and info: C4's from 70's to a 66 with spline issues and workarounds. https://www.fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=50809
