    Good morning everyone
I may have my floors figured out... meaning I have to spend some money on some new metal ( like almost $2000. .... )and have to salvage the complete left front kick panel and complete rockers from the Ventura..... ( have to research to see that the rockers are the same.... was told that they could be slightly different making it much more difficult to put on the wagon) floor in Ventura not worth saving..... floors in wagon (with the big holes are in better shape than what is in the Ventura they are both rusted but Ventura has had water underneath the carpet and slowly rotted the floors so all the solid looking metal is junk....... my body shop friend came and looked at them......) trying to free up both 389’s so I can take them apart and rebuild one....but may have found a complete refreshed 389..... more money that I don’t have..... lol
Still may need a Pontiac tailgate......??? Maybe I can rebuild mine ( rotted on inside bottom... )using parts from a Chevy tailgate (cut and weld ) both should be the same except the outside metal...???
Well I think I covered everything.....
I may have forgot something.... just let me know....
    Thank you everyone
Please keep in touch cause I’m not out of the woods yet..... lol...... lots of work ahead
    Oh still can’t post pictures......

    Good morning
I’m happy to report that I got the tailgate open..... And just as I thought... I need another one..... only thing worth saving is the outer skin and the glass..... everything else is rotted......(not sure if it can be saved....) And yes I have pictures of it.........
Does anyone know if the 1960 Chevy wagon manuel tailgate guts are same as Pontiac...??
The two Pontiac gates I found are just shells..... one is power and the other is manuel..... and very pricey...... so in search for a tailgate..... with all the guts..... Wait any one know where I can get tailgate parts......( regulator....inner tracks.....etc. ...?)
    Thank you

I have two 1960 Pontiac cars..... both with a 389.....
And both locked up...... the wagon is locked up and I don’t know anything about it........ the Ventura turned free about 6 months ago and now it will not turn.....
What can I do to free them up and see if they run.....??
    Thank you

Hi everyone..... as I said I have two 389’s that I have to free up...... then the better of the two will be rebuilt.....
The car I’m resorting is the wagon......
Would like some input on complete rebuilding kit and goodies ..... every thing for a Pontiac is expensive......wanna kinda keep a budget...... not sure if I’ll go with aluminum heads because of the price....
    Well here’s my list.....

    Rebuild kit
    Aluminum heads
    Aluminum intake
    Mild cam
Gear drive ( I want the noise )
    Roller rockers
    HEI distributor
    New timing cover (11 bolt)
    New water pump
    New oil pan
    Headers
    Bolt kit
    Pulley kit
    New Carburetor
    New fuel pump

That’s my wish list...... so everyone go ahead and pick at it........ what’s missing....or what’s to much..or what’s not needed.......
389 will be pulling the wagon.....
Plan on it being a daily driver..... but would like to do a burnout when I want to without hurting any thing....
    Thank you in advance......
