There are a variety of ways that things can be helped. First, would you be willing to move from the Chicago area? Second, I need your phone number or I can find it either way I will be in touch. My business is helping people and I am good at it. Third, I can only offer help. It is up to you to take advantage. I am not being a hardcase but you would be STUNNED at the number of people that I try to help that never take advantage of the help offered.

Doc I'm sorry to tell you that we are not willing to leave Chicago. I will give you a call when I can. I would like to meet you someday. Maybe after I get my book published. Okay real quick. I went to my interview. I got there ten minutes early which was rewarded with an instant response. The guy I talked to was the store manager and he liked me but because of past health issues that I had to tell I have to wait for approval of the store owner. But don't be alarmed I'm leaving out some info for current time needs. But this looks REALLY GOOD for me job wise. I will be a delivery driver... Cyclist... No cars there. I haven't had a bike in like three years. I need jeans... Don't like jeans but I'll do it... Tennis shoes... I freakin hate tennis shoes but I got see the potential money to be made and I ran the numbers to add up to a months wages+ ... that's more than twice what the G was paying me because I couldn't work... Ha!!! I work through the damn pain! I also need a bike but my being hired is not contingent on me having one. I'm ... Um. Tired. And my mind went blank. I have to wait till the big boss says yes or no or if he wants to interview me personally. I'll get back on when I can. Got another busy day tomorrow. Thank you!
Alright I'm still waiting to be called and I'm bouncing of the walls. Doc I sent you a PM with Zoe's phone number since mine is out right now. I have spent some time looking at some of the apartments and I feel like we got ripped off with the one we got. There nicer apartments for the same or lesser rent than we are paying now. Plus they are still within the area of Chicago that we want to live in. The schools here are perfect for Zoe and there are programs that will help her reach that dream. Again it boils down to jobs. Things are looking positive on that front. Zoe got help with learning how to use her phone to apply for jobs. That has helped out tremendously with the no Internet at home issue. Just keeping you updated.
Well there goes one option. The promise that was never kept. The friends relative who was supposed to lend us money... We were supposed to get $6000 to clear out ALL of our debts in Joplin and pay for our move up here to Chicago and cover a few months rent and cost of transportation, utilities, etc. Instead our "friends" paid the deposit on our apartment, we sold our $3500 car for $1200 to pay for the uhaul and to get my bank account back in the plus sign range. We got here and had just parked our uhaul and gone inside and then looked out our window to see a Lincoln Towing truck hooking up. The uhaul was in the spot for a total of eight minutes. $540 to get it and all of what was left of our lives back. We didn't have it. We had $50 to our name. Zoe and I have busted our asses for them trying to pay back what we owe. "We can't help you anymore." We weren't asking for them to help this time we asking for the relatives help... Should I even bother keeping their names a secret? We wanted a fresh start, a new beginning, and an end to all the bull **** we have been having to deal with. They were supposed to be our friends not their servants. I'm all about repaying what I owe any way I can but don't treat me like I'm beneath you for doing it! You know what Doc, Zoe and I have faced reality. We don't want to leave Chicago, we love it here, but we would rather live in Alabama with a roof over our heads than live homeless anywhere. We have four cats and they STAY with us. No pet shelters. We tried that once before and my cat David curled up into a ball and was urinated all over himself and would eat or move until we were able to go get him and take him home. We don't even have a car. No money. And options are depleting fast.

Part of the problem in helping in situations like this is having enough 'lead time' so that the agencies that you are trying to use have enough time to help you. First things first.
