Car shows, long bike rides, camping, fishing, sun shine. But also as a loose, free, and single 20 something, I can admire the very thing this song from ZZ Top describes :D ;)

Here's a sign that spring is here.
I've been driving this one for the past few days:

    It's official!!!

    First, the bad news:

We got about 3" of snow last night. Yuck!

BUT, there IS a silver lining!

The GOOD news is, this set the all-time record for highest seasonal snowfall in Detroit and Flint.:taz::banghead3:

Total snowfall for the 2013-14 season (as of 6am, April 15, 2014): 94.8" (2408 mm)

The previous record was set in 1880-81, with a total of 93.6" (2377 mm)

I hope we're done with the white stuff now, because we are REALLY ready for spring!

Winterpeg is grasping to keep its reputation. We're at -10C (10F) with a -18C Windchill.

The only thing growing here are the icicles and flood warnings, south of us!:banghead3:

Should be better in a week though.

The neighbor worked feverishly over the weekend to get his garden planted. I wanted to get mine in also, but had other chores that took up all the time. I did have a passle of volunteer plants coming up....either pumpkin or cucumber. I dug up 4 of them and transplanted into a row. Frost hit em last nite and killed em deader than a door nail. Strawberries are in full bloom and it didn't seem to affect them.

What a Spring! A few days ago we had nearly 90 degrees in NW Florida. Woke up this morning with the furnace off till Fall. It was somewhere around 40. Nearly enough to frost my pumpkin.:rofl2:

What exactly is a door nail and how can it be alive, in order to be deader then?
