Northeast Tennessee. I stopped and checked it out. It is for sale, but we didn't discuss price at all because I wasn't ready for another project. I have some pictures of it to post, which I'll do so shortly. I'll put it in the Wagons for Sale section.
Not bad for a basket case. It would make a good project. A missing drivetrain is the least of concerns. The rust looks honest, from here. Therefore, Bondo-free. The following areas look like a cause for some concern. But, look too minor for discouragement. It looks like he could use a vacant space, on that lot. Offer $700 and see where he goes from there. I'd stop at three grand, unless he brings it to your house
Cruising through my old hood. The place has been completely gentrified since my last visit. Which in this case is a good thing because when I lived there it was full of white trash Running an already tired, old neighborhood into the ground. Ever since I heard the toilet seat reference Edsels don’t do much for me. Nice car tho
The one you've just photographed seems to be more discreet than the ones you find abominable. If anywhere, the toilet seat on this one is hidden inside. A good place for it would be where that third bench is installed. An option like that would be practical for long vacations of which dad would only have to stop for filling the tank
I never heard of the toilet seat reference, but an Edsel is often referred to as a Lincoln sucking on a lemon.
Since we're on the topic of 1959 FoMoCo wagons, I might as well share this one: This car has just recently arrived at it's current location. I stopped in on Friday and one of the neighbors told me the owner just had it delivered. Unfortunately the owner wasn't around, so I don't know any of the information on it.
