I know exactly what your saying, my daughters dog is part BC. She is so smart and very active, lives to fetch. Skipper seems to be a little more layed back, but it's only day two. She'll bring back the soft ball that Tedy took for a tumor...sometimes. She really likes being out doors...might be because she spend her first 12 weeks there. I brought her a bed and a collar yesterday. Bathed her, found a bump on her belly mom thinks it might be a cyst but she doen't seem bothered by it. We have a vet appointment Wednesday morning for a check up so well see what happens. I'm sure it's nothing serious. Thanks for all the best wishes.
Now, THAT is a CUTE puppy!! Geeze, fannie...you bring the little guy home and then you wear him out! Seriously ... that little guy is CUTE. Congratulations, fannie.....now get at your job of spoiling him!
We are happy for you Fannie...................... Yep! That's sure a CUTE puppy! So, obviously you found him on an island somewhere?????????
Took skipper to the vet this morning before work. She got her first needles, flea drops, worm pills, had mites removed from her ears and got weighted...man there's nothing left of her. A couple of the young ladies past her around all saying how sweet she is. Turns out the bump on he belly is a hernia her umbilical cord... never heard of such a thing, guess it means she has an outy not and iny. Anyway the vet says not to worry about it, they,ll remove it when she is spayed, about three months from now. She's pretty wiped out from the needles. After a game of tug of war and pulling every single toy out of the basket(twice) she passed out again in her little bed... she really is a cutie. The cat is starting to come around, she'll actually come into the room with the pup now and sometimes doesn't even swat at her.
fannie - what we don't know is the "how you found her", etc etc. And the name came from? Glad to hear she checked out okay.
Yeah!?!....how did you find this puppy, the one that some how(?) followed you home, and you said......."it followed me home, honest, can I keep it?".....
Fannie: An umbilical hernia is not the same as an outie. It is, like any other hernia, a piece of bowel that has come through the abdominal wall. Humans can have the same thing. It is an absolute nothing for the vet to repair while the do the spay. In the mean time, try not to do too much tug of war, though. Same as a person with a hernia, you don't want to have the abdominal muscles contract too much. She is one SWEET little girl you have. I can tell she will bring you YEARS of joy! Congratulations to you. She's also one very lucky little dog!
