She's taken them under her wing, adopted them. Helps the sales pitch when you find another irresistible challenge on 4 wheels. :biglaugh: (y)

Depending on the day my car is either "PIA" or "GDI".

Today it's just plain "Tha Cooga".

I've owned a LOT of cars and trucks since 1972 - nearly 700 vehicles in all - and I've never named a single one. I've owned cars for as little as 15 minutes, and as long as 30 years, and have yet to name any of them. They all have been "she", because like ships and boats, cars and trucks have a "she-ness" to them. A boat is easy to give a name to, because that is a tradition that extends back centuries! A car or truck just doesn't garner that, in my opinion, no matter how much I like the vehicle. I actually tried to name my '66 Coronet 500; the car I've owned the longest, at almost 30 years. The name never stuck. I can't even remember the name I tried to give it!

My Dad had a '54 Willys CJ-3B 4x4 in the '70s that he named "Kidney Killer" and painted the name under the windshield glass, just like they did in WWII and Korea. I think that's the ONLY vehicle in my whole family that ever had a name given to it!
