Hey, Blackie...still can't get that video to open...BUT...if you can get RECENT pix of Fred's lot and he has stuff I like I'll talk to him about them. Then, if I still like some of them, I'll fly into your place and we can take that trip to his lot we talked about earlier.

SF, Double Click the video and it will open up in youtube. His inventory is always changing, as he sells off what he has. Its a 3 hour 1 way trip, I have no pics, I just found this video on the IMP SS forum. Its just to give you a feeling on what he has had in the past and what he is always on the hunt for. He buys to resell and he has guys all over looking for Wagons for him. Try to contact him through the IMP SS forum, or through his ebay listings, thats probably your best bet to get ahold of him. Then there is the Wagonfest comin up the least weekend of July that I plan to attend, if he has something then, you could ride out with me and drive home, since he is a dealer, he can supply the T-tags and junk.

Yeah...I talked to him briefly. I am doing the same thing he does since I had a lot too and I now have a couple of guys looking for me. But I'm just doing it on a small scale compared to him. Just doing it for my personal search. He is in business NOW and has many MORE wholesalers looking than I have access to anymore. I know exactly what he's doing and how he's doing it. Hey...maybe I'll go to the Wagonfest and see what's around.

Got it, Blackie. The guy wasn't very good with that camera work. I saw some box wagons there too but the camera work was too fast. He should have done a few slow pans of the place. In looking at Fred's place...no WONDER I can't find a wagon!! They're all in NY!

    Agreed, but.......
    1. $730 vs. $3,800 is a BIG price difference. $3,000 will buy a lot of resto work. I will say that the $3,800 for the '86 seemed like a real good price for the condition it appeared to be in.
    2. I actually like the front sheet metal and dash of the '81 a lot better. Has more of that classic 'Pontiac' look. The '86 is basically a Caprice with a different grill.

    --- That '81 was a hell of a deal.

You mean a '81 Bonneville? Or a good deal on a box wagon?

    ^^^

    '79 - '81 (although I like the '67 - '69's as well)
I don't really like the clamshells. The gate design adds complexity and takes away a lot of space. The roofline doesn't help, either.

Pontiac only? I don't understand the roof line comment?

Yeah, out of the B-O-P tripletts, Pontiacs are my favorite.
The slanted back end of clamshell (to allow the glass to retract up) took away a lot of the cargo room.

Ok, I see. I LIKE that slant for the look of the wagons and the clam is cool. But, I don't care for them for various reasons. Lack of cargo space and problems with the power units etc. I like a 2 way gate. The clam doesn't allow for longer loads while the drop down gate does (while open). Yeah, Ponchos did have some nice style to them.

Wish I could, but not a good time, trying to put deal together on house........
If the car was near me, I might have given it a go, but travel / transport expense would put it over the top.
