Contest: The $1,000 wagon quest...

Must have been...it's gone...

 

I'm going to look at this one possibly on Sunday. I don't need another car, but I may not be able to pass it up. He said he'd take a $1000 for it.


I've been working on my Eagle for a better part of 3 years now. Here and there of corse. Just finished a top half rebuild. I just don't have time to work on it anymore.

Left to do: needs muffler (Cat is brand new)
I think there's a cooling leak which i may address if i have time
The dip stick sleave broke in the rebuild process which I'm looking for a shop to fix that at the moment
Carb filter top clips were lost (funny story there)
EGR valve needs to be replaced
What's been done: new gaskets (head up)
new webber 32/36 carb (K&N filter)
new ICU, Ignition switch & cylinder
Timing chain and sprockets were replaced (the nylon teeth gears had to go)
new ignition coil
new distributor, cap, wires, and plugs
Transmission was rebuilt
and alot more

I'm really looking to trade, I recently lost my motorcycle to a careless driver and have been missing it ever since. If you'd like to trade I'm willing to listen. If you have a motorcycle you want to trade, it doesn't have to run, just be in decent shape. there is a small dent on the roof of my Eagle which was there when i bought it, nothing too serious. a SMALL tree fell over on it.
I would be willing to sell as well just name a price and i'll consider. I don't have an asking price since the work and time I've put into the car thus far makes the price i would personally ask unreasonable.
You should know that it doesn't run as of yet. It ran for a while before we determined the head gasket went out after the rebuild it ran for a few more days and now it won't start. I suspect a cooling leak just haven't tracked it down yet, but it will get fixed given I have the time.
Body (aside from the dent on the roof) is in great shape, and undercarriage as well. Has 120,000 miles on it.
Really, most of the work has been done just has some lose ends that need to be tied up. Again, I just don't have the time to work on it like I used to.

I wouldn't get rid of my current one and honestly don't know what I would do with that one. I would probably fix it and sell it. I'm going to be purchasing an Eagle Kammback that is in CO in about a month so I really don't need another car since I have 3 right now.

1993 Ford Escort wagon for sale. Connection at inner tie rod needs to be addressed. Threads are stripped, either fix threads or weld. Driveable but at own risk.
