Let me stress again that my ad is'nt serious because I really don't care if it sells, we have a bit of a collection and need to thin out a car or 2 and because I did'nt use the rag top last year at all...well you know the rest.

If this ad was my normal flip car all 4 pics aloud would be of the car and the polish, window switch, seat belt, would all be done. It would have 10 slot or turbine mags on it also and a way better description.

My online ad is local, like the news paper sorta. You must have similar other than graigslist.

Right, Fat. He was going to look it all over with his buddy and get pix and get right back to us. Maybe Patrick80 bought it?? He said he emailed him. Could have sold it to someone else too for that matter. I saw some bothersome things about the wagon for the mileage claimed but haven't said anything because, even so, I like the car and didn't want to come across like I was flaming CatSaf. And I sure would like and need to see more of that rig. Especially the rust areas.

The collector car auctions on TV are fond of mentioning that;the cars that sell the best at auction are those in original condition(as they came from the factory,NOT customized)in good physical condition and from either the first year that particular model was made---or the last year that model was made.Looks like your car has three things going well for it.It's original,it's in good shape and it's from the last year the model was made.I would expect nothing less than top dollar for this car,if it were mine. And that would be; only if I actually had sell it...Looks to me like it's ready to go to car shows and be a star...;)

Detailed pics - Flaws and all!

    Hey guys!

Sorry it's taken me SO long to get back to you; it's been a very busy week with getting ready for the estate sale this weekend. But as my good friend Bryan always says; "It's better to be late, than pregnant!" ;) Also, I had to wait until the mechanics would let me bring her in, so that I could get her on a lift for pics.

    Anyway, so here we go...

Mileage: I was finally able to take the car in to my G'ma's mechanics, whom have worked on the car since my grandparents bought it back in 1981.

Since all the paper work, and its odometer all lead me to believe that it only had 60+K miles, I decided to ask the guys that have worked on her all these years what her actual mileage is.

It is actually 160K, BUT it only has about 20-25K on the re-built engine - which my g'ma had done back in 2004 (I think is the year the receipt said). I drove the car around some on Thursday; it sounds and runs great - like a lower miles car.

Ok, now for detailed pics - her flaws and all (and yes, some rust). We'll start with the under-body rust etc., as that's what you guys have been waiting on. Then I will post in new thread, outer cosmetic issues. :)

More detailed pics - Cosmetics etc.

The worse spot is driver-side back wheel area:

I think this is the passenger's front side? Can't remember, will look again:

    Back passenger's side?

Apparently at one time, my G'ma was rear-ended, and the original bumer was replaced - but couldn't find one to fit it 100% - this is just a guess on my part, as IDK? Anyway, whomever took on the bumper project was an IDIOT, and should have tried harder to do a better job!

    Driver's side back bumper:

    Passenger's side back pumper:

Dashboard, small flaw lower left (driver's side), I haven't removed tape yet. It looks like a crack, that my G'ma may have taped to prevent worse damage?

One center logo on rim is missing from driver's side:

OOPS! Forgot to post these flaws...

Looks like G'ma placed a couple of tape strips to help hold tire cover panel in place passenger's side - needs to be reset:

My G'ma used the car for years to transport her German Shepards to various shows - scratches on panel, driver's side:

Ok, I think that's all - if I find anymore, I'll post them here. :)

Now to respond to you fellows...

Nope, she's still available (as far as I know). She's been included within the estate sale this weekend, if there's a buyer - I will have to go meet the buyer to sign over the title etc.

Fox; we're past the thought of you "flaming" me:beerchug:, sometimes it's hard to get written words across without sounding harsh - so to speak.

So no worries there, ask anything, or point anything out you want to. Hopefully I have addressed your mileage & rust concerns. :)

Ask, and you shall receive! BTW - you're too funny!

Oh, no - NO pressure at all! :biglaugh: If the forum would have been sending me email notices (which I have set to do) that you were posting with questions, then I would have responded earlier - although only being able to pics today, would have been the same.

Thank you for the info, and compliment on her. I am hoping she sells well, and goes to a good home - where the person has as much passion for her as my G'ma did. :)

does'nt look too bad under there except that single exhaust looks pritty lonely under that big car;). I don't think you should expect $8k out of it but I may be wrong. I'll let the big guys who know more about this era handle that. Where you show the rust (wheel wells +drivers fender) it looks like some bad bondo work(drivers fender) and as for the rears, how is the metal behind the blisters? Pics of that would have been nice.;)

Is this some thing screwed to the drivers door panel? If so, remove it as it takes away from the car...2 little holes look better than, looks like a card holder(?).
