Yea Fannie the weather plays havoc we me as well as most migraine suffers. SAadly the stuff at the ER doesn't really help me, which is ok because if I went to the ER everytime I had a bad migraine I would be past broke. The black wagon is still in my garage. Taking parts off it as I need them. Not going to leave anything special on it when I sell it or if need be scrap it.

Migraines.... Bad stuff. Our daughter in Illinois has those bad. She must have half dozen special doctors and more drugs than both me and my wife. By the way she says "thanks dad" for that.
I used to have bad migraines in Illinois. Amazing we retired to Florida at 55 where it is supposed to be humid. I remember one migrain here in 20 years. Don't know why. Maybe because I no longer have a job or bosses to worry about. Or maybe just the changes in weather.

Ok got a lot done today after being laid up for 5 or so days with migraines. The intake, thermostat and housing are mounted. We are using the Edelbrock Performer intake as it has a provision for EGR for emmissions. The EGR won't be mounted till after the engine is in the car because I plan to prime the oil pump using the shaft under the distributor that way the engine isn't started dry. So I can't mount the valve covers because I need to see if the oil is reaching the heads. And the way the EGR sits I have to mount it after the valve cover because it covers up one of the bolts. I also took out the exhaust on Sarah's car and swapped in my double hump cross member so we can mount up my dual exhaust to her car. Also took apart the front of her engine so it can be pulled. Now in the evening some people stopped by to look at a Crown Vic I was selling. And on the way out my wife told the guy about my wagon. He saw it in the garage and made a beeline straight for it. He asked what I want for it. I said it depends on what parts you want with it. He wants the 4 bucket seats, the shifter, radiator, oil coolers, Trans, and dead engine. So now tomorrow I need to swap the Metco LCA's from my wagon to Sarah's hearse, as well as the front swaybar. Which means I need to take an LCA off my car. Go over to Sarah's car and take her stock one off. Install my trick LCA on her car. Go back over to my car and put her stock one on it. Then repeat it all over again for the other side. And it has to be done tomorrow as it's when he is coming back so I have to be well. Wish me luck.

OK, I've seen '77-'90 Buick hearses and Cadillac hearses, but I've never seen a Chevy Caprice hearse from that generation. That one must have a good story behind it.

Ok yesterday I got the Metco LCA's transferred over to Sarah's car and the stock ones from her car back on my wagon. Her hearse now has my custom swaybars front and rear. I forgot how much that rear swaybar reminds me of a tail hook because it hangs down so much. Unfortunately the guy didn't show up last night to buy it so maybe tonight. But we think he may be backing out on the deal so we shall see. Which might not be so bad as I figured out what I still have in my wagon and came up with a figure higher than I gave him so he would have essentially been getting the car for free. My head has cleared up some so I am going down to the garage and attempt to swap engines.

Ok another daily update. Wasn't sure I was gonna make it out today to work on the hearse as I went to bed with a migraine although I took some of my meds. Still woke up with a small one and wasn't feeling with it. But after some oatmeal I decided I should make the effort. And success the engine is in. Not done assembling it and it's not running but it is in. Here are some pics.

Sarah's saying "you been touching my car again with your greasy hands ?"

That crack in the pavement looks like fun when using the cherry picker.

Yea that and one or more of the wheels wasn't cooperating so yea it was difficult. But the hard part is over. Now just reassembly and the exhaust system.
