Buick City Guy, newbie gotta get a wagon!

Hello Wagon fans, New guy looking to score my first wagon. Flint, Michigan area GM employed. Married father of three very active baseball players, naturally bent twards the "General's" offerings as they are my major source of income. Love the crazy 60 and 70's wagons and all the trim options they brought. Although my first wagon will be a 94-96 Roadie for the reliability that it will bring for long cross state journeys for baseball tourneys this summer. Wife is on board (as long as she gets to drive the suburban) so just pulling away from the green light with my eyes wide open. Your site pretty cool, glad to be apart of it!

I've had 'Burbans for the last 25 years, and that's what I want with a baseball team!!
With a Burban, you still have 3 ft to the cargo doors, for storage - Roady has nada!

to the wagon train psycho. I have a burb and a 96 Cappy wagon. I'll drive the Cappy in place of the burb every chance I get! Seem to be quite a few around so choose wisely and rust free. How far are you willing to go for a good one?

Thanks guys! Yeah the burban will haul it all thats for sure... But they're a dime a dozen round here. I'm jonesin' for a crusier and the camaro/firebird/smallish hotrod won't work for the family situation. Been saving and planning for awhile now and I got to have something for "Back to the Bricks" here in Flint. I just can't think of anything better than a wagon with the right stance, slow rolling with the boys in the back seat taking in the sights.

Silverfox, I've got family spread out all over the country so just about anything east of the Rockies is far game for the right price. I've got half way points in place from just about anywhere in the south. So if it's something worthwhile I'll figure it out. I've looked about about 30 cars over the last 2 months and just haven't seen the right one. Nothing up here that has even one winter on it is without rust. It will be a summer cruiser exclusively, so I want to get it clean so that I can focus on getting the look I want with to much hassle.

Last name is Fullwood, so nothing but a woodie will work anyway!

Thanks guys I appreciate the info. I've been using a site called searchtempest.com that does a pretty good search of craigslist. I'll try this new one also.

Dewey that wagon is killer. Love that b and c post black out... One of the small mods I'm planning for the roadie... Makes a clean long look that is easy to do...

 

Thanks man!! It's one of those little things that drops the roofline and gives a nice long window "chopped" look. If you use gloss black vinyl it really blends with the glass nicely.

Found It! 95 Roadie, 60k one owner in PA... estate sale... Working on shipping it home first of the week. It's a wood delete car, and clean! Posted an ad looking for drop spindles if anyone has a set laying around. Look out world, another wagon nut be on the roads soon...

 

Glad you found your wagon psycho...........but.......without it never happened! Post up some pics when you get it home please.
