I had a left front brake caliper lock up on me as it heated up in Washington, DC traffic Monday. I was able to get it repaired as well as the brake line tjhe next day. So off I went back to VA Beach Thursday....and the right front caliper locked about 30 miles south in heavy traffic again. I stopped at a small service station and the fellow there was closing early. He checked the car anyway, found the caliper, and after an hour the part showed. It cost about half of what I had paid earlier in the week too. I was most appreciative of being able to get back home the same day. Many thanks to Buraq's Service Center in Stafford, VA. :thumbs2:

depending on age, I replace everything. 78 tbird got all new calipers flexi hoses and wheel cylinders, and only reason I didn't replace master cylinder is it had been done already then I bled them till they were clear, replaced and lubes wheel bearings and the thing rode like a champ and could stop on a dime and that was a big boat of a car.

sitting up puts wear on ball joints, wheel bearings shocks and or struts, tie rods are probably fine if immediately relubed before driving.

over time moisture gets in brake fluid running or not and becomes saturated and then eats at caliper and cylinder metal, I pulled wheel cylinders out of a 65 rambler once and they were so gummed up they weren't even rebuildable, they even had pitting on the metal plugs in each side, even though rubber boot was still intact just dry
