He was the jerk. I would have loved to see that. Back when i was a teenager I installed an extra windshield washer reservoir from the junkyard on my 77 Mach 1. I filled it with ATF and ran a tube to the carb. I would load the carb with ATF and then hit the throttle. Talk about a smoke screen.
Dimwits in B.M.W.s NEED to be taught to respect the torque of big-block North American V-8 power. Let them eat smoke.
First off, awesome!!. Secondly, you're my new hero. Jerk?, yes but in a good way. Keep up the good work.
I don't think you did anything wrong. My biggest concern with an aggressive driver like the one in the BMW is you never know if he might have a gun and be crazy enough to use it for the flimsiest of reasons.
I'm not slamming gun owners; I'm slamming crazy, road-raging, aggressive drivers who might have a gun and decide to use it because he felt disrespected by another driver.
I've a pickup step bumper on the back of my 'burban, out about 3 inches, just for those a$$holes!! So far, using the windshield washers over 40 mph, backs them off, especially if their car is clean!!
This kinda reminds me of this time my grand parents were going down the road behind a horse trailer. Lets just say that their got a nice shower courtesy of the horse in front of them... They immediately found the nearest car wash. They were glad that day that their windows were closed.
It's the south...everyone drives with at least one gun. Because everyone is armed no-one does anything crazy with their weapon.
When i was in high school i had a really beat up 1978 Dodge Aspen station wagon. I had the windshield wiper fluid squirters aimed 90 degrees to the side. It was for (or against) pedestrians and other vehicles. Nothing but harmless pranks.
Road rage...hmmm, this subject always seems to touch a nerve in people. The reasoning, or lack there of, people have behind the wheel can be somewhat confusing. Aggresive drivers just seem to drive mad and seem to be constantly taking out their anger on those around them. Any response to them seems to often times make the situation get worse and soon everyone including yourself are in danger. That being said I think you handled this guy just fine, I probably would have done it the same. My usual way of handling these bozos is to just avoid them or slow down and let them pass.
