This "little" jewel just re-listed on eBay, about an hour and a half from the StangCave. It's a '61 Olds, with only 16K MILES. The current bid's at $5600 (RNM). My biggest problem with a car like this is that, even if I could swing the top bid, it's just too damn sweet to be left outside. I'd always feel like a total DOG. As much as I would love to be seen cruisin' a ride like this, I just don't have the means to maintain a total hangar-queen.

Oh well, maybe she'll find someone more deserving here at SWF...:bump:

Edit...I might be talked into giving her a "boots on the ground" eye-ball if one of us wants to get into the bidding... :character0182:

Now that's a hearse that doesn't really look too hearsy. Is that a word? That is so unique that I'd love to have something like that in my garage.

This is it, kiddo's...This morning is show-time for the '61 "Hearsed" Olds. The seller posted a bunch-more pictures, and the old girl looks glorious. The current price is holding at $9,700, but I suspect this auction could end with a "sniper" shoot-out finale.

I'll be chewin' my nails, because I just keep thinking about how much I'd like this to be MY last ride, and what car-nut wouldn't? Can I afford it?..Sorta'. Should I risk it?..NO. Am I gonna' go for it?..
    :juggle:...ARRRRGH!!!..

I had a 80's cadilac hearse when i was in high school. painted it all flat black, red interior, made a subwoofer enclosure in the shape of a coffin and black lights inside and a red neon undercar kit with a set of 20" wheels. theres a 50's cadillac hearse next door to my grandparents.

If you can get the works for $700, with the engines, I'll turn you on to a place that buys Cadillac cores for ~$500 each.

Dan Scully - what year and maker is that light color hears you posted pics of?? I must know! That's got to be one of nicest designs I've ever seen in a hearse. Especially the rear glass treatment. Nice color too. What color do they call it?

This is a 62 Superior Crown Royale Electric 3-way. The cost on this in 62 dollars was almost 16k. Chk out the PCS Site=http://www.professionalcarsociety.org/forums/index.php Great bunch of people and info. Superior is the builder Crown is the model with the band over the top and was part of there high end models. The Royale part is the rear 1/4 glass lt and rt . These where pretty much the last stand for coach built works. Caddy only delivered the frame and front group 1/4 panels and rear bumper the rest was built by the coach builder in this case Superior. This is a pretty cool coach it has the electric table that comes out the lt or rt side and has a levilzer that can level the coach from lt to rt, it in self was a 800.00 option not cheap in 62 dollars. The color is a 62 Caddy color which at the moment can not think of the color,s name.
