Silver, i called on the car in GA, and the woman on the phone was a real..... well.... bitch. For lack of a better term. They claimed to not know anything about the car, and tried to get me to come look at it, but told me ahead of time, that the price wasnt negotiable. As much as i hate to see a wagon sit, id love to go by in 5 years and it be the only thing left on that lot, with a huge " AVAILABLE" sign in front of the building. just my two cents on it.

where does he get off asking that price to start with... its waaaaaay over book, and they told me on a car that age, there is no book,, whatever. thats a $600 car. no leather, no auto climate control.... theives.

I only wish I knew how to get some pix of that car on here, jase. I've tried and failed. The car is considerably worse than it looks. Funny they don't know anything about it...it's been there at least 3 months that I know about and they sold it once and got it back and now it's on Ebay after refusing my offer. Don't you just love an honest car dealer?

After I told them to keep the car because they wouldn't move on the price OR the $400 "bend over"....they deluged the internet with it to find a sucker. They put it on Ebay, on AutoTrader, Cars.com, ****tycars.com, WeScrewU.com, junk.com...they got it everywhere and on some sites they have it as a highlighted premium special. DAMN! Sure wish I could get some of those individual pix out of Paint Shop and get them on here. You guys wouldn't even believe the difference between the way they show the car and the way the car actually is. I have a real hate for disgusting, lying, cheating, scum bag dealers. There is no excuse to misrepresent this wagon the way they are. They're probably sitting bad on the trade and the office number cruncher sets the price. Hey, sometimes you have to bite the bullet in the name of honesty and good will and eat a few numbers.
OH!....and speaking of DUE DILIGENCE in an above thread......know that '84 Buick Electra Wagon on EBAY that has 58,290 miles? It spent its life in salty roads Wisconsin. Car rust capitol of the states. Pity the poor guy that buys that one and then looks underneath. And.......In 2001.................................. it had 113,710 miles on it.

Woah! They took about half the miles off the clock! That explains why the pics were taken from so far away. It is a shame that you cannot trust anyone anymore. This is exactly why I would never buy a car from ebay with out checking it out first.
Did you also see that 90 Buick wagon on ebay that has "minor" surface rust. Take note of the lower 6 or so inches of woodgrain missing, and the thick black paint under the doors. That car must have been doctored up before.

Tell me about it, 84pari, that car's been on 3 times now. Total rust bucket and they didn't record the miles for YEARS...can't remember how many right now but I searched it. Take a good look at that one...he also cut the wood grain from around the fenders! :biglaugh:Ebay never used to be this bad. Seems like now EVERYBODY just plain 'ol lies.

I love how people don't even think of that anymore. My speedo rolled to 35200 today and my friend goes "You only have 35000 miles on this car!!!" I laughed right in his face. My car's got 135000 miles and it may not completely look it, but it sure as hell don't look 35000 miles!

ive noticed the same thing. they wax them up, and sell them for cars they used to be. one look at most steering wheels, brake pedals and drivers door jamb will tell you the mileage on anything. Ebay is notorious for that.

Ebayers are crazy. i lucked up with my Motorhome from ebay. my friend bought a rough roadmaster from ebay, and after they fought with the guy on delivery, and have had it in and out of the shop, they could have just bought a good one.

Well, Jase386, your observation is right on! Ebayers ARE crazy. I canNOT BELIEVE that the '90 Buick rust bucket with a zillion miles on it is up OVER $3000!!! AND...the reserve is NOT met!?!? What is WRONG with people? This is a prime case of why I do not like Ebay...crazy people run an item up to crazy prices. What's the point?
