Hallooo! New Member here, "BC" (no middle name, he, he....), grew up in an Ohio woods and know the agonies of rust-belt life for vehicle affecionados. Now live in California's Mojave Desert where cars DON'T rust.....though they may melt..... am building collections of vehicles (pickups, land yachts, converrts, oddballs, 4-door sedans, and, of course, STATIONWAGONS) for rental to the studios for period films, etc. I know you "get it," though--it will be a way to have my cake and eat it too..... to play with my car toys whilst they provide enough income (I hope) to keep themselves presentable....and add to their "fambly." I have always loved wagons, but think the only one I do have presently is a '65/'66 Polara. I'm eager to get to know y'all and to explore "Wagonism" more fully! Here's a quick list of Wagons I most favor: '72 Torino Squire; '65 Olds Cutlass Vista Cruiser; '69 Chrysler Town and Country; 48 Buick; '57 Buick (HT); GM Clamshells; '56 Nash/Rambler; '59 Hillman Husky; ....Jeeze, mayhaps I should have listed the ones I DON'T like...... I was listing the cars I do have and ran out of space, I guess. Here there are for your interest: 85 CAD Fleetwood; 78/79 CAD CdV (2); 72 CAD CdV; 67 CAD CdV; 60 CAD Conv; 57 CAD conv; 48 Buick Roadmaster; 74 Chevy Monte Carlo; 89 Chevy Beretta GT; 76 Dodge van (swb); 70 Plymouth Fury Conv; 76 Chrysler Cordoba; 63 Imperial; 72 Merc Montego; 60 Falcon Ranchero; 88 Ford Ranchero; 92 Ford Probe GT; and....um....Well, I think that's all (for now!!).http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif
Welcome BC. Good idea. Have a hobby that makes money. Most of us have a hobby that costs money. Have fun and show us your cars and other vehicles.
Ayuppp Tanks, Model T--If I could, I'd send you some California orange juice for the new year. That's the way I think, when I do at all: how can I have this interest support itself--AND ME, too?! I am also considering having a West Coast AND an Ohio bed-and-breakfast situation that allows me to be "bi-coastal" yet live in a place, too......
Thanks for the thoughts. But we don't need no stinkin Kalifornee orange juice here in Floriduuu. But might stop at your Ohio bed-n-breakfast some day as long as bi-coastal is all you are.
