I looked at what appeared to be a very nice and clean Malibu a couple of years ago just before my DW spied the S10 Blazer. It was actually in nice condition and looked as good as the one in this advert, but once we got underneath the owner had done some goofy things like an ugly exhaust, brand new and he was proud of it, but crappy work and I couldn't live with it. Same goes for wheels, mediocre but he was very impressed with his choice. He wanted $4,200 and it had a lot more miles than the one mentioned in this thread. I offered $3,500 thinking I'd need t spend at least the difference just to get it to a point where we were not embarrassed by it and he scoffed at my offer. Oh well, it was for sale for months after that and the last price I saw was $3,000 OBO:rofl2:. So based on that when I saw this one gone at 6+K and not being able to go and check it out personally, I thought it was over sold. So my price was based on my own experience.

For the right car where you can crawl over and under it, verify it is what the seller says it is, and it has all the right stuff the buyer wants, I can see the above price............

I'd expect that any others that come along in similar condition, or appearing to be so, will be wanting at least the same money. The B-J model - one sold for a bazzillion dollars and it was slightly better restored than this one blah blah.

Is it as mint of an origonal that we have seen..... Yes! IMO a even harder to find colour combo, it's stunning nice. $6k..... way to much IMO, but odly enouph some origonals in lesser condition have sold for up to $4k since I've been a member. As for this one setting a new standard for pricing..... well we are just gona have to wait untill another one in equal condition shows up..... I havn't seen one yet, but I also don't think this one is worth $6k......

Beautiful condition, colour combo, but not $6k worth.........

But I am a cheeep bugger, so what do I know.....
    ;)
