I notice that my Kingswood Estate is not the only wagon that dont have a dome light in the cargo area. That boggles my mind that a 3-seat wagon dont have a dome light in the back. I guess only the upscale models ot the higher end makes had that.

I think it's probably close but I am not gonna F*&^ with it, that's how I wound up with mine.... it was at 5k or something and my bid not only met reserve but was the high and winning bid. Not that I'm sorry, I love the car, but was not in the plan. Just curiousity got the better of me. But like I say, I'm glad I got it.

    Wow, that Pontiac is cool.
I had one as my second wagon, it was also in great great shape with a 400cid,400trans, posi. It one time did a brake stand for me I was blown away that heavy car could do a posi brake stand!
Mine was original paint midnight blue metallic with slotted aluminum rims.
Georgous red interior. I miss it.(y)

    Funny what you find.....

    ....when just browsing around.:)

I was the owner of this wagon. I listed it via a local classic car consignment store in Dallas. After an initial consultation I agreed to a higher reserve just to see what would happen. It's better to start high and work your way down than kick yourself later for not setting it high enough. It proved to be a tad high so no salel.

On the 2nd listing, I lowered it a bit but bidding only got up to a disappointing $5600. I figured that would likely happen the 2nd time around so I had planned on bringing it home and sitting on it until this spring. When I called the consignment store to have them prep it for pickup, they advised it actually sold over Labor Day weekend to someone in Belgium who paid the new reserve without even bidding on it. I was very pleased.

It's over in Europe now somewhere in the burbs of Brussels. They're willing to pay a premium for large American cars as they're unique and hard to find over there. European cars are like our current day cars; dime-a-dozen and completely BLAH! I understand shipping was a whopping $2,600. They gotta be rich because at 9-10MPg and roughly $10-12.00 a gallon....YOWZA!!

Anyway, if I ever get over there, I hope to seek it out just for grins.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see your buyer on here someday. We have more than one member from Europe. In your pic, there's a nice, what appears to be, Merc wagon behind it. Do you know any details on that?

Unfortunately I don't. The event was a car show put on by my car club and I was one of the event staff and we were so busy I didn't get to meet many folks. I did take a moment to check it out though. Pretty nice! I don't recall where it came from so I looked it up in the roster and it's either a Colorado or Michigan car. Given the show was in Dallas, it's likely the Colorado one.

I also found a couple of 76-77 vintage Colony Parks amongst the membership. WOW!
