Not a lot to update you on.. done with the frame until I can fit the front end, so I cleaned it up and prepped it for paint/undercoat.

Front suspension back in.. and its on wheels again. starting planning out the steering, I'm thinking of ordering a steering joint to adapt from the OEM shaft to the crown vic double D shaft.. [IMG] The car still sits slightly uphill.. even with the smaller diameter tires up front, but that should level out after all the weight is back on it. [IMG]

So... I made a hole... for things to drain back into the oil pan..

discovered the flywheel I got with my transmission wont work because I have a 6 bolt crank.. that makes me less than impressed.. more $$$ I didnt want to spend..

and after much frustration.. realized the engine and trans will NOT go into the car in one piece because I have A/C
soooo I dropped the trans and bolted this lump in..

    [IMG][IMG]

Next concern is bellhousing clearance on the A/C.. Might make the decision to keep A/C pretty easy after all...

I'm hoping to fit the transmission tonight so I can make a big hole in the floor..

I see what you did there. Are you going to keep it stock to get it up and running first or just go for it all from the start?

The megasquirt base map has already been done on the motor while it was in the parts car. So really all I'll need to do is fine tune the map for timing and fuel taking boost into account.

So yeah.. I'm going to do it all at once but start tlit off at a moderate 4-5psi and tune from there.

Sorry for the lack of progress folks... hopefully I can get some time at it this week.

    Stripped the carpet out..

It was made in Canada. ..

Marked out the first of the cut lines..

    Eeek!!!

Test fit the transmission and we still weren't "there"

So it looks like I have to lose the factory A/C

Removed the entire air box... and have to make up some patch panels after I test fit the transmission as is..

Oh and I also removed Ford's version of hi-fidelity sound circa 1967

Awesome!!! Wayyy more work than I'd be willing to do but its coming along great! We have almost identical cars, yours being way higher optioned than mine. Yours is Dark Moss Green correct? Great to see what that color is supposed to look like.

It bloody well should fit since I sliced the poor girl up

I'm happy the tunnel won't have to go as high as I thought.. and that the rest of the driveshaft tunnel should be OK

Just have to build a transmission mount..

Oh.. and I brought home a little "motivation"
