My 1979 has a 100% aluminum vacuum valve system, no electro-actuators. The On/Off switch is thermally controlled. Yours looks like its half plastic, like from a newer than 1979 car.

Have you got an EVTM for the car? Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooter Manual = EVTM. It will show the switch layouts and connections. The Factory Shop manuals show the middle 5-digit part numbers. That particular one looks like the main actuator at the Fresh Air intake. The other one that's similar is at the Defrost/Heat diverter near the Driver's foot.

That switch is off a Mustang,
The one I needed is obsolete. So I just bypassed it with a rocker switch
    and it works great (y)
Now she can run the heater/defrost with the AC on to dehumidify faster.
You would think the AC guys mite have notice that switch was not going to work. Oh well.

A few more pics to come.

    Man of my own heart!

I did something related with the rear door vent window tracks. Bought some 2" wide velcro (female tape) from a seamstress supply shop and made my own. Nobody makes them anymore. Works on the front vent window tracks too.

Where'd you get the raw material?

Restoration Specialty felt so bad about it when they returned it,
the rubbers were in the box " No Charge" two types.

The metal I got at a sheet metal shop in town.
The other stuff at the hardware store :D

We don't rate vendors, but that one gets a huge gold star. Excellent work, BTW!

Everything is coming along very nicely. You are doing a great job! I love that interior color too. If I may ask, what type/brand of sound deadener did you use?? I am just about at that stage on my project. I will update the stereo, but it will NOT be a BIG SPEAKER on wheels so basically it will be more of a family cruiser.
