thanks Stormin Norman on the heads up on the site....unfortunately can't use much of that....right now just focusing on getting the body back in shape...I have a possibility for the replacement roof, rear quarters, and spare tire well off of a parts car...if you go to www.dvautoparts.com and put in '65 falcon under the category they have a 4 dr wagon that took a nice front shot....they want $350 for the roof from the posts down and $450 for the rear quarters...tailgate is gone already...picked but not picked clean yet....they told me they use DHL as their shipper

This company has specifically 1960 to 1965 Wagon carpeting! They make them for retailers online, and protect their retailers by charging $5 bucks more, from what I can see.

Download the catalog and look at page 67!

Yeah I have an extra windshield as well as side and back glass....the great thing about it being out in AZ is that the metal doesn't rust....every wagon roof that I have looked at has been rusted out real bad and the inner structure is toast

So when does it come home? :biglaugh:

From the posts down, means including the posts or just the roof panel? If you got it with the posts, they could pack the rear quarters inside, and you'd save cubic footage charges.

the only problem right now is I don't have any room in the garage to put the replacement roof and the Home Owner's Association here in Florida will fine me probably if I tarp it outside...I probably will do it anyway just to piss them off....I would want them to cut it halfway down the posts or possibly all the way down where it hits the doors, rear quarter, and tailgate....getting a hold of a good rust free roof is quite a challenge with a rare wagon like this so I might have to just suck it up, plunk down the cash, and have it delivered

You obviously missed the key Tarzan scene, where he's hollering. It took a while for the producers to figure it out, so they played it back slowly and heard this:

"THE VINE JANE, THE VINE!":biglaugh::biglaugh:

    You're a braver man than I...

Was turned onto your thread by Krash. I'm new here an just registered here yesterday.

My goodness man, ain't you got you no woman to keep you in line! That's my excuse, anyway, when I get myself into things like this. I'll tell ya... I passed up a 65 V8 tudor wagon about a year ago -- could'a got it for about $1500. Just didn't want to handle the roof rot in one corner after having just finished something similar on a Mustang for a friend of mine. I'm thinkin' to myself now -- that car was pristene! I'm kicking myself now.

Anyway, just thought I'd ring in so you could see what one of those look like not all taken apart. Mine's a 6 cyl. car, but someday... maybe (I've got a fresh 289 ready to build... for something). I've got lots of pictures and stories on our local Falcon forum too. Feel free to cruise in there sometime and take a gander. I'm the president of the Washington chapter of the FCA, so our forum is for that chapter. Link to my blog is in my sig.

I'll keep watching and offerin' you insight on occasion. Been where you are a couple times.

    Cheers!

Hey Roger thanks for chiming in on my thread! yeah she is going to be a little longer to fix up then I anticipated but it will get done....the roof rot unfortunately on these wagons is common as the roof seems to sweat....I might be getting hold of a rust free one out in AZ where things don't rust...will definetly rust proof it and take care of it like it should have been done in the first place....I also have another '65 2 dr wagon that was my dad's as it is sentimental since his passing in '92....I agree if you put a 302, 289, or crate motor in there it will pep it up real nice....as you follow my thread I continue to research for parts and am looking right now to get the body back in shape (#1 priority)....I am a member of the Falcon Club of America (Suncoast Chapter)....our website: www.flfalcon.com

Boy, I'll have to tell Kenny how popular his web site is. Kenny (redfalken) and I are members of the Rainier Falcon chapter of FCA.

Hey 65, are there any pictures here of your Dad's 2dr wagon?

If it were easy I'd be ripping my headliner out and coating the roof on it. I just try to keep it dry now so it may outlast me, but it bugs me to have that much surface area with no idea what's up there. I know Ford didn't waste any paint on all that surface.
